Candy Wrapper Treat Boxes, Part II!

I had so much fun making the first three Candy Wrapper treat boxes that I couldn't wait to make more!  I had an idea for a different way to use them and had to try it out!
Yes, as ornaments!  How cute will that be to hang these on a tree or perhaps even a garland?!  I think I"m going to hang these plus the previous three (here) on my "pot rack" over the kitchen island with some greenery!  Can't wait to see how that looks, but I do have to wait until after Thanksgiving to redecorate, lol!
All these candy wrapper boxes use Champagne Glimmer Paper, Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo, Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade and Very Vanilla colors of cardstock, ribbon, ink and trims plus Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine for the hanger loops.   The gingerbread man from the Got Treats? set just fit perfectly on the background punched with the Scallop Oval Punch.  Other punches used were the Large Oval, Wide Oval and BoHo Blossoms Punch.
The two candy wrapper treat boxes above use the Festival of Prints Designer Paper Pack, which makes it easy to coordinate all the colors!

The last box has a wrap of Candlelight Christmas Designer Paper; it has the very same colors in it so it combined perfectly with the Festival of Prints papers used on the first five boxes.  The Champagne Glimmer Paper, Clear and Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details accent both the Christmas tree here, the nose and antlers of the reindeer and the buttons on the gingerbread man!

I hope you have enjoyed these and perhaps have gotten some inspiration to use your Candy Wrapper Bigz L Die.  It is SOOO easy as it does all the work!  It both cuts and scores your cardstock, so there is no guesswork in where to fold this... it's all laid out for you.  You just get to have all the fun decorating them!

P.S.  Besides holding candy, small trinkets or folded money, these boxes could also hold very special jewelry gifts such as diamond earrings or a precious stone drop.. okay, I'm dreaming now, lol!

Remember,  you can purchase these and/or any other Stampin' Up! products from my secure online Stampin' Up! store HERE using Mastercard, Discover or Visa, and they will be shipped directly to your door from Stampin' Up!  Please contact me through my Stampin' Up! website HERE if you have any questions about ordering.

Warmly,

Margaret

Joyous Celebrations Candy Wrapper Treat Boxes!

It's still fall, I love Thanksgiving time yet I'm thinking ahead to Christmas these days!  How about you? Working on those Christmas cards yet?  Me too, but I took some time out to make these fun Candy Wrapper boxes recently.
The treat boxes were diecut with the Big Shot diecutting machine and the Stampin' Up! Candy Wrapper Bigz L Die!  They don't take that much cardstock; you can get two out of a 8.5" x 11" sheet of cardstock, and have a nice almost 2.5" x 11" piece left to use for punches and other things!
I used the Festival of Prints Designer Paper Pack to embellish my treat boxes.  I cut a 1.5"x 6" strip from the 4.5"x 6" sheet for the wrap.  This means you can get three "wraps" out of one sheet from the pack!  Nice!  And, these sheets are double-sided so you could use the other side for a totally different look!
For the sentiment on each Candy Wrapper, I realized that the Joyous Celebrations set from the 2012 Holiday Catalog would be a great fit!  I've used punches and the beautiful Champagne Glimmer Paper (again from the Holiday Catalog) to embellish each box.
The "Dec. 25" wrapper was tied with 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon in Lucky Limeade to coordinate with the DSP.  The other two were tied with (retired) Cherry Cobbler Ribbon (from 2011 Holiday Catalog) which I still have (and love);  Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon would work just as well!
Here is another view of all three of the boxes together.

Thanks for dropping by!  I hope you've enjoyed them!  Hmm, I have another vision for these dancing in my head so stay tuned; hopefully I'll have time to get that down on cardstock soon!

Four Seasons Friend

I'm happy to share with you today a card that was made by a friend and customer Margo't Benda.
She used  Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso and Whisper White cardstock and a print from the International Bazaar Designer Series Paper for the card.
The Scallop Border Trim punch was used on Early Espresso cardstock to cover the seam and pull all the colors on the card together nicely.
The butterflies were stamped with the Four Seasons stamp set and then layered onto Lucky Limeade. The Four Seasons stamp set is a great Hostess set, one that is available to those who host a $150. or more party.  November is a great month to host a party and receive an extra bonus gift of a color family of Stampin' Up! Ink Pads, a $49.95 value!  Wow!  You also receive a set of Ink Pads if you join my Stampin' Up! team of demonstrators too!  Just contact me through my Stampin' Up! website HERE!

Thanks again, Margo't, for sending me such a lovely card, and thank YOU for visiting today!

Ornament Keepsakes Christmas Card

Love, love, love the products in this Holiday Mini, including all the Framelits and coordinating stamp sets!  Genius!  Today's card is another Make 'n Take from a recent workshop and it features the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set and coordinating Holiday Ornaments Framelits which die cut them perfectly!!
The ornament is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink onto Whisper White cardstock then diecut with the coordinating shape Framelit.  On a second piece of Whisper White, I used the Festival Paper Piercing Pack to pierce the same ornament shape, then attached the ornament with Dimensionals.
The card base is Whisper White overlaid with a 4" x 4" piece of diagonal striped Snow Festival DSP.  A strip of Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon covers the "seam" and "Merry Christmas" from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink at the bottom.   This was again a pretty quick and easy card; the Framelits, paper-piercing pack and designer paper boost the pizzazz quotient of the design, all the while making it easier!
Don't forget that you can save 15% on the Ornament Keepsake stamp set and Holiday Framelits Dies by purchasing the "bundle" available in the Holiday Mini!  I purchased the bundle myself because I wanted these products and I also appreciate a good value!  All these products can be purchased through my online Stampin' Up! shopping site or by contacting me through my same website.

Wonderfall Fall!

Wow, November already and we're in the middle of fall!  Fall holds some of the most lovely days of the year, when the sunshine is clear, the air is cooler and the leaves show us more colors than the normal green!  We've had some gorgeous days here in Oklahoma lately.
At my most recent workshop we made this card featuring the Wonderfall stamp set and the Autumn Accents Die for the Big Shot.  The die gives us some beautiful leaf shapes and the coordinating Wonderfall stamps add patterns to the leaves!  A great duo!
I used the color scheme from the Orchard Harvest Designer PaperMore Mustard, Cajun Craze and Lucky Limeade.  The maple leaf was stamped with its coordinating Wonderfall stamp while I used the Woodgrain Embossing Folder to add faux-vein texture to the smaller Lucky Limeade leaf.  The sentiment, from the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set, was stamped onto Sahara Sand, punched with the Large Oval Punch and embellished with a Cajun Craze Glimmer Brad.
A wide strip of the apple Orchard Harvest Designer Paper goes across the bottom portion of the card and is anchored with a band of 1/4" Early Espresso Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.  This made for a pretty easy and yet attractive seasonal card!
