Irresistible Flower Shop!

One of the great Sale-A-Bration bonus products this year is the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper.  It is already embossed with clear on white so when you add color, it retains the white pre-embossed pattern!  Very pretty!

I used three Flower Patch flower stamps to stamp Rose Red, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight.  Once these were stamped, quickly use a Stampin' Sponge in a circular motion to spread some of the color from the not-quite-dry ink to the background area around the flowers.  This also removes any ink from the embossing and highlights the white pattern.  Pretty cool, hmm?

The sentiment from Flower Patch was stamped in Rose Red.  A Calypso Coral flower was then adhered to the sentiment strip and adorned with a Basic Pearl.

Thanks to Patty Bennett and others for the inspiration for this technique.

Stamps:  Flower Patch, Flower Shop
Inks:  Rose Red, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight
Paper:  Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper; Daffodil Delight and Whisper White cardstocks.
Accessories:  Pansy Punch, Stampin' Sponges, Basic Pearls.

Sale-A-Bration 2015 ends on Tuesday, March 31 in case you are still planning to order and get free products!

There are wonderful new products on the Clearance Rack as well!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you have some time to stamp soon!

Berry Basket & Flowers Card

Have you seen all those cute baskets made with the new-this-season Berry Basket Die by Stampin' Up?  They are sooo cute and just perfect for spring, Easter... well, I think any time of year!  You can actually use this basket die for a card as well which is what I did for this post today.  I just die cut one piece of cardstock (you have to cut two for the regular basket) and then cut it in half, folded it  on the score lines and attached it to my card front after embossing it with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder in the Big Shot.

I stamped these fun flowers then punched them out and adhered them over leaves stamped for the background.  Then I added small flowers stamped in yellow.  The final step was to add a bow of thick Baker's Twine in Coastal Cabana.

Stamps:  Flower Shop (lg. flowers), Something to Say (small flowers), Crazy About You (leaf stems), A Dozen Thoughts (hello)
Ink:  Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Strawberry Slush
Accessories:  Berry Basket Die, Coastal Cabana thick Baker's Twine, Pansy Punch, Small flower punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Handheld Stapler, Big Shot, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Fast Fuse, Snail, Mini Glue Dots.

What a fun way to get more use from this great die, send a basket of greetings to a friend and brighten their day!

Thanks for visiting today!  Have a stampy-good day!

Choose Happiness CCMC348

Today is Thursday and we have another great challenge for you!  This time it is a Color Challenge featuring Rose Red, Soft Sky and Sahara Sand... an unexpected but lovely combination that I really liked when I began working with it!

I used Soft sky for the card base.  Next is a layer of Rose Red and Sahara Sand Designer Paper which is stamped with Rose Red flowers and Sahara Sand leaves.

The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black  and the bird in Soft Sky over it; a Soft Sky layer was placed under this and accented with small Basic Pearls.  A length of Soft Sky Baker's Twine was tied around the panel before adhering it to the base card.  I stamped one more flower on Whisper White and fussy-cut it then layered it onto the background.

Stamps:  Choose Happiness, Flower Patch.
Inks:  Rose Red, Soft Sky, Sahara Sand, Basic Black
Paper:  Sahara Sand DSP from Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack; Soft Sky, Rose Red, Whisper White.
Accessories:  Corner Rounder, Basic Pearls, Soft Sky Baker's Twine, Paper Snips

Crazy about You

Last Saturday was our INK Demonstrators meeting for March... we always have such a good time, learn a lot and have a lovely lunch!  In addition to a learning a new technique for our Make and Take, we also had a card swap!  This is my card I made to swap.  We always have such a good time.  Would you like to join my team and join in the fun?

The happy color scheme of Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay is taken from the fun Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper!  The tag of Bermuda Bay was embossed in the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder and tied with Calypso Coral Baker's Twine.  The 1-3/4" wide horizontal banner was cut from the DSP. Two large flowers were stamped then punched with the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, centered with a Bermuda Bay sequin and tiny pearl.  The small flower was stamped with a flower from the Petite Petal set and punched out.

The sentiment is from the Something to Say set and the inside says "Thank You".

Stamps:  Crazy about You, Petite Petals, Something to Say
Ink:  Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow (sentiment)
Paper:  Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral
Accessories:  Bermuda Bay Sequins, Basic Pearls, Polka Dot Embossing Folder, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Petite Petals Pumch, Calypso Coral Baker's Twine, Big Shot, Scallop Tag Topper Punch

Happy Thinlits! CCMC346

It's Create with Connie and Mary Challenge Day and this week we have a COLOR scheme using Wild Wasabi, Sahara Sand and Basic Black!  Fun colors to create with!

I cut the Sahara Sand with the On Film Framelits, added a polka-dot embossed black panel behind the opening and adhered it all to the tiny black hearts DSP.  The base card is Wild Wasabi, 4.25" x 11", folded in half.
"Happy" was diecut from Wild Wasabi cardstock and adhered with my Two-Way Glue Pen.   The flower is made with three flowers, one punched from Wild Wasabi DSP and one from the Typeset Specialty with the Pansy Punch then one smaller  punched from the Typeset Specialty with the Petite Petals Punch and centered with a Pearl.

In this picture you can see the texture and more details up close, including the butterfly punched out with the Bitty Butterfly punch.

Celebrate Today! CCMC345

How about some blue skies today?   We've have so many days of grey and white (it's snowing as I write this) that this Designer Paper looks really good to me!  I'm ready for blue skies and sunshine as I know many of you in North America must be also!  Today is a super Sketch Challenge from Create with Connie and Mary, #CCMC345.

I broke out my Celebrate Today set for this challenge as the circles on the sketch immediately made me think of these fun balloons!  I diecut the Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay balloons with the Balloon Framelits then punched out the Rose Red dsp dotted balloon.  I used the Rose Red Crochet Trim from the Artisan Designer Kit for the diagonal band and added a Petite Petal flower punched from Bermuda Bay DSP. The flower center and little bow are both Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for some bling!  The banner stamp was colored with markers then diecut with its corresponding framelit.

Stamps:  Celebrate Today
Ink:  Bermuda Bay pad, Bermuda Bay and Rose Red Stampin' Write Markers
Paper:  Whisper White, Daffodil Delight cardstocks; Brights and Regals Designer Series Packs; Sweet Dreams DSP (clouds) and Painted Blooms DSP (Rose Red dots); Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
Accessories:  Artisan Embellishment Kit; Balloons Framelits. 2" and 1/4" Circle Punch, Petite Petals Punch, Flower Punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

Here is the fun Sketch Challenge from Create with Connie and Mary this week:

Doesn't this look like a fun sketch?  It is!  We would love for you to join us this week by making a card using this sketch!  All the guidelines are on the Create with Connie and Mary blog as well cards made by all the Challenge Team members!  Come check them out also!
