Blossom Punch in Poppy Parade

Here's another Make 'n Take card from a recent workshop.  Generally these are kept fairly simple so that the guests can make two different Make 'n Take cards as part of the evening's activities.  Therefore these are the type cards that lend themselves to you quickly making multiples if you need to build up your card stash for upcoming card-sending occasions.
I love this color scheme of Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade with a touch of Lucky Limeade and Whisper White!   Of course, it comes straight from the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper print which is used on this card!  The "Happy Birthday" is from the Perfectly Penned set of 4; this is one of my favorite set because I just love the script and the size.
The flower has two layers; the bottom is Poppy Parade punched out with the new Blossom Punch in the Occasions 2012 Mini.  The top layer is a flower from the Mixed Bunch set (#125537) stamped in Poppy Parade on Whisper White card stock then punched with the Blossom Punch.  The center is again from the Mixed Bunch set, stamped in Baja Breeze and punched with the 3/4" Circle Punch.  In the center is a brad from the Sale-A-Bration bonus Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack which is FREE with a $50. order of Stampin' Up! merchandise!!
The top background is a piece of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper layered onto Lucky Limeade cardstock.  (this is also a free Sale-A-Bration bonus product!  Love it!)  At the far end of this piece is Lucky Limeade Twine wrapped   Although you can't see it in the picture, we used the Simply Scored Tool to make an impression 1/4" above the lower front edge to finish off our design.

Thanks for coming by for a visit!  Remember that Sale-A-Bration lasts only until March 31 so be sure to place your order soon to earn your FREE Sale-A-Bration bonus products!!  There's nothing like FREE, especially when they are such nice products:  brads, ribbon, Designer Paper, buttons, digital CDs for MDS, a number of stamp sets and even a Decor Elements item for your home decor!

Thanks for coming by today for a visit!!  Hope to see you again soon!

Fresh Vintage, Blossom Punch in Poppy Parade

Wow, love that Fresh Vintage set and the Everyday Enchantment Designer Paper Collection!  And I love even more that is it FREE!!  These are two of Stampin' Up!'s bonus products available for free with a $50.00 merchandise purchase during Sale-A-Bration (ends March 31, but don't wait when you can be creating NOW with them!!)  I used them both plus the wonderful new Blossom Punch for my card today:
That's the Everyday Enchantment print in the background, framed by running the cardstock through the Big Shot with the #121809 Framed Tulips Embossing Folder.
The flower is punched from Poppy Parade (two layers) then embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  You can see that it is spritzed with the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz as is the card and other elements except the ribbons.  One of the new Large Pearl embellishments is the flower center.
The square stamp is stamped in Poppy and punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch; I love it when images and punches match, don't you?!  What a time-saver!  The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set; both are touched with tiny Pearl embellishments.

You can see the shading on the edges of the Designer Paper and on the raised embossed frame;  just a section of a Stampin' Sponge and some Crumb Cake Ink do the job quickly!
The base card is Very Vanilla cardstock.  Victoria 5/8" Lace Trim and ribbon are looped and anchored with Mini Glue Dots before the flower is attached with Dimensionals.  You can see that there is some stamping inside to carry the theme and color scheme through.

A word to the wise about Poppy Parade:  it is one of the five 2010-2012 In Colors that will be retiring very soon (oh, no!).  Sale-A-Bration is the perfect time to make sure that you have stocked up on the Ink Refills, card stock and accessories in these colors that you will need, because once they are gone in May, they will be gone forever!!  Remember that the new Idea Book and Catalog (including the NEW In Colors) will make it's appearance on June 1st and the retiring In Color products will no longer be available for purchase!!   (In fact, they are usually sold out before the current catalog ends!)  Just a little fyi....

I hope you have a little time to stamp some this weekend!  Thanks for dropping by for a visit!

Mixed Bunch in Wisteria and Concord

It seems that the Mixed Bunch stamp set with coordinating Blossom Punch is one of the most popular stamp sets in the Occasions Mini Catalog!   And with good reason!!  I'm definitely reeled in by coordinating stamps and punches myself, lol!!  This card is a sample I created to show at my workshops this month as we use this set and punch for our Make and Take card (which will be posted at a later date).
The color scheme is Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush and Whisper White with some Daffodil Delight added.  I used the daisy-like stamp and one of the flower centers (there are three of each in the set); the yellow flower was stamped on a yellow print paper from the Attic Boutique Designer Paper package then punched.  The Wisteria (lighter) flower was stamped with Concord Crush and the Concord Crush flower was stamped with Whisper White CRAFT Ink then punched.  The centers were punched out and layered over the largest flower punched with the BoHo Blossoms punch.  Aren't all these punches wonderful how they can layer together to make different looks!!  I love my punches!!
Here you can see a close-up of the flowers; Glimmer Brads were used in the center of each.
The Wisteria Wonder polka dot is from the Sweet Shop Specialty Paper package; not only is it cardstock weight, each white dot is embossed too!  It's NICE!  It is die cut with one of the larger Label Framelits then adhered to the Concord Crush background.  A swath of Concord Crush 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon wraps these together.  The card base is Wisteria Wonder
The "Happy Easter" greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set (one of my go-to word sets!)  It is stamped on white then cut in a small banner and the edges are sponged with Daffodil Delight ink.  On the inside you'll see a narrow strip of the polka dot DSP added to carry the design through.

You're My Type

One of the fun stamps sets in the Occasions Mini Catalog is "You're My Type" featuring a vintage manual typewriter and six phrases that fit onto the paper coming out of the paper carriage.  This card was one of the Make and Takes at my workshop last night.
I've always loved pink and green together so the Melon Mambo and Old Olive combination with the Black and White was an enjoyable one for me.  : )  The typewriter was stamped in Black then cut out easily with Stampin' Up's sharp little Paper Snips, an essential tool in MHO!  It was adhered to a layer of Melon Mambo on a Whisper White card.

The bottom of the card features a layer of Designer Series Paper from the Just Add Cake collection; doesn't ithat look a lot like typewriter keys?!!  This is framed by a layer of Old Olive cardstock.  There are two other prints in this collection of DSP that are in similar circles; one is also letters and the other numbers!  Nice!
If you look closely you can see swirly lines stamped in Melon Mambo ink on the background;  the stamp used is from the very versatile Creative Elements set.  A little loop of Old Olive Polka Dot Ribbon, a Melon Mambo flower punched out with the BoHo Blossoms Punch and a Rhinestone give some finishing touches to this card which will carry a friendly "hello" to the recipient.

Remember that we are celebrating Stampin' Up's Sale-A-Bration and all orders of $50. or more in merchandise earn you a free bonus product from the Sale-A-Bration brochure!  You may contact me to order or place your order through my secure Stampin' Up! website here!

Card from my friend Rose

Good morning!  Today I want to share a beautiful card I received from my friend Rose Kerry in California.  She is a wonderful stamper and a very kind person.  She doesn't have a blog so I wanted to show off her work here.  Isn't her card just gorgeous?
Rose used the new Label Framelits and Apothecary Art set from the Occasions Mini Catalog as well as the En Francais background stamp and embossed it in black on the Cherry Cobbler card base.  She did a beautiful job of coloring the flowers on the focal image too!  I really like the color scheme of Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron and Whisper White, with a touch of Basic Black for accent.  I might never have thought of this color scheme, but it is stunning!
Don't you just love what Rose did on the inside of the card?  This attention to detail on the inside is part of what makes this card very special!!  I love how she even cut the white edge with the Adorning Accents Edgelit Scallop Die and then embossed it with the coordinating Adorning Accents Embossing Folder!

Thank you so much Rose for such a beautiful friendship card and the sweet note inside!!  I love it!  Isn't it great to have stamping friends that bless you with such lovely cards that really make your day!!

Have a great day!!

Fancy Favor Blossom Basket

Ahhh, it's sunny here today and even though it's still a little cool, it makes me think that Spring is coming!  Yay!   Now there is a theme challenge for subscribers over on the Occasions 2012 edition of Create with Connie and Mary for "A Little Treat for Someone Sweet"; of course I thought of using flowers and the beautiful floral prints in the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper for my project. Did you follow all that?  lol!  You're good!!

I diecut the versatile Fancy Favor Bigz XL Die (#115965) in Baja Breeze for my treat box and the Lattice Bigz Die (#115965) in white to cover both the front and back of the box.
The flower is punched with the new Blossom Punch (#125603) from the Occasions 2012 Mini Catalog;  I used the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper, Riding Hood Red and Blushing Bride then layered them, adding a small Island Indigo flower and an Everyday Enchantment brad (from the Sale-A-Bration bonus pack free with a $50. order).  The leaves are Lucky Limeade cardstock punched with the same Blossom Punch then cut apart and tucked underneath the flower.
I added a 3/4" wide cardstock handle covered with the Blushing Bride ribbon and finished it off with tiny bow/knots of the same on each side.  This is such an easy box to make and the Fancy Favor die not only cuts the cardstock, it scores it for you so there's no problem knowing where to fold and join it!!

I'm pleased with the way the treat box turned out;  this or a similar box could hold all sorts of treats or treasures to give to someone.  With Easter, May Day, Mother's Day, not to mention Graduation, Father's Day and retirements (not to mention birthdays, parties, showers,...) coming up in the next few months, this would be a very useful addition to your gifting arsenal!  Whew, I better get busy myself!!

All of the products to make this box are available on my secure online official Stampin' Up! website/store HERE.   When you order, be sure to include a free Sale-a-Bration bonus gift for every $50. you spend; your order will be delivered directly to your door!!  You may view the Sale-A-Bration brochure HERE.  Please contact me with any questions:  fun stampin @ cox. net (remove the spaces)

Thanks for visiting today!  Wishing you blue skies and sunshine too!
