Circle of Friendship Notes

Have you ordered your eScape bundle yet? This special only lasts until June 30th. It consists of the Circle of Friendship set, a pkg. of Love Notes (envelopes included too), a Rose Red Classic ink pad and a spool of 5/8" Vanilla grosgrain ribbon complete with a savings of 25% off regular price of these products when you purchase the bundle. See the left sidebar for details.

To celebrate the Stampin' Up! special this month, I made several samples for my customers to see. I'm so much a visual person; I like to see things in person. : ) Are you this way?

These two note cards are made with the Circle of Friendship set, the beautiful Porcelain Prints Designer Paper and the Blue Bayou Stitched grosgrain ribbon. They were designed so the punched out and layered sentiment from Circle of Friendship is attached to the inside of the card but it shows from the outside because of a punch-out on the front. See the smaller sample below that shows the card partially open.

These are so quick and easy to make and the use of Designer Paper makes them look so special! You can whip out a bunch in a short time! I only used the one stamp set and one ink pad! They are 4" square and will fit in the standard quarter-sheet card envelope (A-2) for regular postage.

Stamps: Circle of Friendship
Inks: Blue Bayou
Paper: Porcelain Prints Designer Paper; Blue Bayou, River Rock, Very Vanilla, Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery cardstock.
Accessories: 1/2", 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/8" circle punches; Blue Bayou Stitched grosgrain ribbon, Dimensionals

Most of these supplies will be retiring August 10: Circle of Friendship, all Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi, River Rock cardstock, inks and accessories, and the Porcelain Prints Designer Paper. If you haven't ordered yours yet, contact me or your local Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

Happy Wednesday! Stamp a little love for someone today!

Live Your Dream with Circle of Friendship

Today I have a card for you done with the Circle of Friendship and Live Your Dream sets that I designed for a recent party. I really seem to be reaching for greens and blues cardstock quite a bit lately (there's still more greens/blues after this card, lol!) but I do love them either together or separately. : ) Perhaps it has something to do with the heat of summer and they look cool!

To begin, a Garden Green card is stamped with the Sanded background then small flowers and the butterfly from Live Your Dream are stamped on that, all in Wasabi ink. A piece of Afternoon Tea Designer Paper is stamped with the large Live Your Dream flower in Always Artichoke; this is layered on white and Groovy Guava then tied with Groovy Guava stitched grosgrain ribbon (love all these stitched ribbons that will only be around until the new catalog comes our in August!).

The Thank You from Circle of Friendship is stamped in Artichoke on white then again on a scrap of guava then punched out and layered on punched circles of Wild Wasabi and Groovy Guava. This "stack" is then applied with Dimensionals to the lower right of the image layer. Viola, done! An easy Thank You card ready to send! Don't forget to stamp your envelopes... it makes your recipient anticipate opening the envelope even more! : )

Stamps: Live Your Dream, Circle of Friendship
Inks: Always Artichoke, Wild Wasabi
Paper: Garden Green, Groovy Guava, Whisper White
Accessories: Groovy Guava stitched grosgrain ribbon, Dimensionals, Punches: Tag Corner, 1/2", 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/8".

I hope to get my card for the Technostamper Monday Sketch Challenge done and posted tomorrow. We've been gone to a family reunion since Thursday and arrived home really late last night after a two hour flight delay from Houston, then up early this a.m. to fix breakfast for my hubby. I think I'm ready for a nap! lol

Happy Monday everyone!

Fresh Cuts & Circle of Friendship

Love that new Fresh Cuts set! On this card I used the large collage-type stamp from Fresh Cuts and inked it with the various colors using Sponge Daubers (those are SO handy), then I "rock and rolled" it on Not Quite Navy for a little darker edge. Next I stamped it on the River Rock floral Designer Paper from the Porcelain Prints collection, (tip: this gives depth and color variation in the background), cut it out and distressed the edges with the tool from the Cutter Kit. This was layered on Groovy Guava. For the card itself, Wild Wasabi is the base with a wide vertical strip of Blue Bayou and horizontal strip of River Rock that is stamped with Certainly Celery (which makes it match the Wild Wasabi color when stamped on River Rock). A strip of Blue Bayou cardstock underlays the Groovy Guava ribbon which makes it "pop".

The "rubberstamper" stamp from Circle of Friendship is stamped on Groovy Guava and again on River Rock. I punched out the inner circle of River Rock with the 1/2" punch (it just matches!) and layered it on the guava punched with the 1" circle (that just matches too!), then with Dimensionals layered that on a 1 1/4" then 1 3/8" punched circles of Blue Bayou. I added Crystal Effects to just the center to give it dimension. This was added to the lower left corner to balance and finish off the card.

Don't forget the June specials on both the Fresh Cuts and Circle of Friendship "bundles". I love specials so I can save money (for more stamps!). LOL! : )

Stamps: Fresh Cuts, Circle of Friendship
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Blue Bayou, River Rock, Groovy Guava cardstock; Porcelain Prints Designer Series Paper
Inks: Blue Bayou, Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi, Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Distresser Tool from Cutter Kit, Crystal Effects, Groovy Guava Stitched Grosgrain ribbon, Sponge Daubers, 2 Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. 1/2”, 1”, 1 ¼” and 1 3/8” circle punches, Paper Snips, Dimensionals.

Happy Saturday everyone! Thanks for dropping by and have a great weekend!
