Perfect Setting Die: Cupcake Gifts

Just a few more hours to go and the Perfect Setting die for the Big Shot will be retired!  This makes me sad because it makes the cutest paper cups into which you can set your cupcakes!  It also does much more!!
For our recent stamping retreat, we (the planning team) made about fifty-four of these as "pillow gifts" for those who stayed at the hotel on Friday night.  I cut these all out of the current In Colors cardstock, punched out the "lids" from White cardstock and the largest circle punch.  Then Jann, Connie, Leslie and I all worked on them: gathering ribbon, hot gluing, attaching lids, etc., and also helping Jann make the little pins which were placed inside the cupcakes!  We were busy bees!
Here's the box we were putting the completed cupcake gifts into for distributing to the guests' rooms.  They all looked so pretty together!

The above picture shows how the diecuts from the Perfect Setting Die look.  These can be used for many other projects besides these also!

I ran all the ones for the retreat as well as this one through the Big Shot with a Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to give it even more cuteness!  : )  What fun these cupcake holders  would be to present your delicious cupcakes for a party, luncheon or any celebration and impress your guests!

#115961 Perfect Setting Die, reg. $42.95, currently discounted 40% to $25.77!  A real deal in my book!  : )  Available until midnight tonight (MT), June 30, 2011.
Any Stampin' Up! products can be purchased online through my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website and Online Store HERE!  Orders will be shipped directly to you from Stampin' Up!

Thanks for visiting today!  Hope you get everything you need from the retiring catalog and have a great weekend with family and friends celebrating our freedoms!

God Bless America and our wonderful military personnel and families!

Double Flower Sweet Treat!

Today I'm posting one of the projects we did at the retreat last weekend:  a double flower sweet treat!  This was one of the quick and easy projects but nevertheless fun and attractive!  With the tag, it makes a great favor from our Stamp Retreat!

Two flowers were diecut with the #115970 Flower Folds Bigz XL Die.  This die cuts four sizes of the same shape flower and if perfect for so many projects including layered petals, fabric flowers for pins and such and so many more ideas!

The flowers were then embossed with the Finial Press Embossing Folder to give them that beautiful texture!  A #116802 Circle Treat Cup was filled with pastel Skittles candy (Easter colors!); if you do this, be sure you don't fill your cups over the depth of the cup as it will pop off!  (Ask me how I know!  lol!)  We then adhered this to a Wild Wasabi 1-3/4" Scallop Circle and attached this to the flowers with two strips of Sticky Strip adhesvie.

Daffodil Delight 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon was tied around the cup (use a little Snail adhesive on the ribbon or it will fall off and be impossible to tie!  lol!).

The tag was done by Connie using My Digital Studio and was punched with the Decorative Label Punch.  The small flowers of Daffodil, Wisteria and Tangerine were punched with the scallop flower punch from the #118309 Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, adhered with Snail and embellished with sparkly #119246 Basic Rhinestones.

Wouldn't this be delightful as favors for a ladies luncheon or spring gathering, or used as favors for a party? I'm sure you can think of many more uses too!  (It actually looks a good bit like a hat, so that's a whole different avenue to explore too!  hm-m-m!  wheels turning....)

Thanks for visiting today!  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Designer Paper Bag Tag and Mini Purse

As I mentioned previously, I was involved with several other demonstrators in doing a retreat last weekend for about fifty-two stampers!  The planning committee (of Leslie Bumgarner, Connie Stewart, Jann McCollom and myself) made several gifts for the participants such as a bag tag, early registration gift, and others which I will post at later times.  Today's projects are the tags we made for the participants bag which held some supplies and also held their projects once they completed them and another gift for those who registered early.
Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper was adhered to a square of the light paperboard in the back of a package of DSP then cut with the Big Shot and the large Scallop Circle Die.  The guests' first initial was diecut from Pacific Point cardstock with the Serif Alphabet Dies then adhered to the tag.  This was tied onto the handle of white paper gift bag for project supplies and completed projects.  Isn't that DSP gorgeous!!

The next project is a mini purse made from the 6 x 6" In Color Designer Paper Pack which is a Level 1 Hostess choice in the current 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog (expires June 30!).
We made around fifty of these little cuties for our guests (and one for each of us, lol!).  This one is shown in a Poppy Parade print; there are several patterns in each color so we combined them for a fun look!  The flowers were punched with the BoHo Blossoms Punch and attached with Silver Mini Brads, as were the handles.  An Oval Punch of Poppy cardstock is the closure under the flower; Velcro holds the purse closed.

Four chocolate candies were wrapped with the same DSP and placed inside for a little treat!
Here they are, all ready to be given out!  Aren't they colorful?!!

These purses were found on Stampin' Connection, a part of the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website and a wonderful source for sharing and inspiration for demos; they were posted by France Martin and also on her blog; thanks, Frenchie, for the inspiration!

I hope you enjoyed these projects!  Thanks for visiting today! I'll have more projects soon!
