Sweet Saying Cards & Envelopes Pack

These adorable Sweet Saying Cards are pre-printed with the diagonal stripes and border, leaving plenty of room for you to decorate them in any way you wish!  This set of  12 cards and envelopes (4 of each color:  Real Red, Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe) is a steal at $5.95 and is part of Stampin' Up!'s Valentine offering "Whole Lot of Love".

The finished size of these nice weight notecards is 3.5" x 5" which is mailable.  The embellishments I used are adhered with Glue Dots so the cards will use standard postage.  I just love these; they were so much fun to decorate and will make great notes for almost any occasion!

Stamps:  Million and One
Inks:  Real Red
Paper:  Sweet Saying Cards & Envelopes; Brights DSP Pack, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Silver Glimmer Paper
Accessories/Tools:  Pansy Punch, BoHo Blossoms Punch, Bird Builder Punch (leaves), 1/4" Circle Punch, Glue Dots, Snail

The "Whole Lot of Love" promotion includes a number of products including two heart and love themed stamp sets.

You may order these and/or any Stampin' Up! products from my Stampin' Up! online shopping site HERE.

My Paper Pumpkin for June!

I received my Paper Pumpkin box just a few days ago and couldn't wait to sit down, see what it contained and what I could make with it!

Hexagons!!  Oh, so trendy hexagons and chevrons fill the box!  Four cards and envelopes, three stamps, three sheets of hexagons precut to punch out (one is white to stamp the chevrons on), a Soft Suede ink spot, as well as a sheet of directions with a picture of the finished project on it!  Wow!

The directions brochure shows the design which the contents will make.
I changed it up somewhat as I decided to use Bermuda Bay ink for the hearts and chevron hexagons rather than the Soft Suede ink that the kit includes.
The heart, Hello to you greeting and square chevron stamps were included in the kit.  The cardfront was pre-scored to punch out some of the hexagons!  I added a butterfly stamped with the chevron in Real Red and punched with the Bitty Butterfly punch.  I like that it's more colorful, especially for summer use.

I used the Thank You from the Perfectly Penned set, stamped in Bermuda Bay on this card.  Notice the hearts are stamped through the openings and are on the inside of the card!  Cute!

I used the Happy Birthday from the same Perfectly Penned set, and on this one used stars punched out with the star punch from the Merry Minis Punch Pack (not in the catalog but available on the Holiday Carryover list).  Love this bright color scheme!

Fourth and last card:  Here I used the included Soft Suede for the greeting, chevrons and the star punch.  But I did use stars here instead of the hearts.  I think this makes a card that can be for guys as well as gals or even a fall-looking card.  Your thoughts?

If YOU would like to have a Paper Pumpkin kit delivered to your door each month, you can!!  Just go to http://mypaperpumpkin.com/ for more information and to sign up!  These kits have everything in them to create the projects, are wonderful for busy people and/or new stampers who want to have everything prepared for them when they have time to sit down and create!  They are also fun for all stampers to create and to put your own twist onto them, as I did on mine!

When you sign up, I would really appreciate it if you would choose me, Margaret Raburn, as your demonstrator, unless of course, you already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator!  Thanks in advance so much!

Remember, you must sign up by the 10th of July in order to receive the July Paper Pumpkin, and who knows what goodies it will hold!!  :  )

Happy (stamping) Saturday, everyone!

Happy Hello Simply Sent Treat Boxes!

One of the fun things about Stampin' Up! events is that demonstrators make gifts to give to friends, downline, and upline.  Just seeing the creativity is even better than the chocolate and candy treats most of these contain (seriously!!)  They also are great inspiration for making treat containers for other occasions too!
I want to share a couple today made with the Happy Hello Simply Sent Kit available during Sale-A-Bration free with a $50. order!  This is one I made for gifting at the Dallas Stampin' Up! Regional and filled with gum, chocolate kisses and mini candy bars.  So easy to package using the new 5" x 11-1/2" Gusseted Cellophane Bags from the Spring Catalog.
Love these cards and the different creations I've seen with them (did an internet search).  This little box is easy to make using the ingredients from the kit, the Simply Scored Board for scoring, of course, and the Paper Trimmer.  A little Sticky Strip and they're done!  I added the Riding Hood Red leaf stem diecut with the Leaves Sizzlet and the Big Shot.  The Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon is retired Stampin' Up! but was so right for the gifts that I just had to use it!
made by Connie Stewart
Connie made these treat boxes for the Regional.  She made a similar box, decorated it and filled it with Little Debbie Strawberry Shortcake!  Then she went a step further and used the envelope, cut off the color printed flap, adhered it to the bagalope she made from the remainder of the envelop and decorated it with the Oh Hello set from the Spring Catalog.  These have had Ghirardelli Squares (more chocolate, umm!) in them!

Happy Hello Simply Sent Card Kit    #130149   Free w/ $50. order during Sale-A-Bration 2013
Here are the contents of the Happy Hello Kit:  8 printed, die-cut cards (4 printed with "Hello" greeting; 4 blank); 8 printed custom die-cut envelopes (Daffodil Delight pattern on flap); 24 Daffodil Delight Card Stock sticker flowers; 8 Basic Gray Card Stock sticker strips; 8 pieces precut Basic Gray Baker's Twine--exclusive to this kit! (ea. 18"); 8 adhesive-backed rhinestones.

And here is the way the card looks made up according to the kit directions (which are, of course, great for notes and greetings):

Happy Hello Simply Sent Card Kit (c) Stampin' Up
Remember that there are only thirteen days left of Sale-A-Bration.  It ends on March 22, so make your list, check it twice and then be sure to select your free Sale-A-Bration products (one for every $50. in products ordered, no limit!) from the brochure HERE!   You may order through your demonstrator, or if you don't have a demonstrator, I would be happy for you to order through my online Stampin' Up! Store

Thanks for visiting today.  I'll have more treat boxes from Regional and other projects for you soon!

Wow Flowers card with Simply Sent Card Elements

One of the easily overlooked great products in the Stampin' Up! Catalog are the Simply Sent Card Elements kits on page 166-167. These kits include all the components you need to create nine 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" cards (A2 size), three each of three styles. A very colorful sheet of self-adhesive die cuts, six sheets of textured cardstock, two 8-1/2 x 11" sheets of double sided Designer Paper, two ribbons, brads, buttons... All you add is the stamp set and your ink pads! At only $15.95 for the kit, that's a great bargain for nine cards, and even have some extra cardstock left over! Oh yes, also included is a sheet of instructions with full-color photos!

This card was made with the Flower Power Simply Sent Card Elements kit which coordinates with the Wow Flowers stamp set. I love the very colorful and distinctive color scheme and the stamp set is such fun! I added the Happy Birthday sentiment, punched out with the Word Window Punch and layered on another solid Rose Red Word Window punch out.

Stamps: Wow Flowers (#111714, $12.95).
Inks: Rose Red, Elegant Eggplant
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Rose Red, Old Olive, More Mustard; Designer Paper (all in the Flower Power SS Card Elements kit (#112028, $15.95)
Accessories: More Mustard grosgrain, self adhesive die cut (image on white) (from kit). I added a circle Rhinestone brad that wasn't in the kit but the kit does furnish coordinated brads and buttons; Word Window punch.

Don't overlook these great kits for quick and easy cards; they also made great gifts for yourself or your favorite papercrafter!

Happy Stampin'!
Margaret
