Just Believe! Pouch and Mini Cards

One of our Make 'n Takes at Convention using the Just Believe! set is this cute pouch that holds six mini cards.  The new In Color Pear Pizzazz is used for the pouch which is embellished with a large tie of the Chocolate Chip 1 1/4" Wide Grosgrain Ribbon. (this wide grosgrain is soft and luxurious... it is sooo nice to work with!) The Chocolate Chip color in this ribbon is no longer available but the Early Espresso ribbon is the perfect replacement!
A tiny Jewelry Tag punch was stamped with a single flower and tied to the wide ribbon.  The pouch front was stamped with the largest plant and flower stamp in VersaMark then the sentiment in Early Espresso.

When the pouch is opened, a Small Cellophane bag is revealed holding six mini cards, each with a coordinated stamped round adhered to the front.  These are so sweet and could have a multitude of uses!

A 3 1/2" x 12" piece of Pear Pizzazz was scored at 5 1/4" and 10 1/2" from one end.  The corners of the top flap of the pouch were trimmed from about an 1" from the outer corners slanted outward toward the fold to allow it to slip through the hole punched with the Word Window punch and keep the pouch closed.

This is a fun project and would be a nice gift.  You could package Christmas tags, candy or other special treats in one of these pouches for gifting.

Accessories:  Small cellophane bags, Chocolate Chip 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon, Linen Thread.
Tools:  Jewelry Tag punch, Word Window punch, 1 1/4" Circle punch

Thanks for visiting again!  I wish you a good day!

Just Believe! Watercolor

Here we are at day four of our Just Believe! series.  Today's card is one of the Make 'n Take projects from the Stampin' Up! Convention in July.  I just made mine last night however, lol!  (So much to do @ Convention!  So much fun!)

This is a quick and easy "watercolor" technique that produces lovely results!  That stamp was colored with Stampin' Write Markers in colors of Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy, Certainly Celery and Old Olive.  Then the inked stamp was sprayed with a fine water mist and stamped onto the watercolor paper.  After tearing the top edges of both the watercolor and Bashful Blue cardstocks and adhering them together, I pulled out my Night of Navy marker again along with the Spritzer tool and gave it some light spritzing.  (click on the picture to enlarge it to see the flecks better)  Then adhered the ribbon and button, and the card is finished.  Viola!  Quick and easy.  I love the results this technique gives!

We also received the envelope in our packets so it was stamped with the image inked in Bashful Blue for a completed project!

Stamp:  Just Believe!
Inks:  Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy, Certainly Celery and Old Olive Markers; Bashful Blue ink
Paper:  Watercolor paper #105019, 6.95, p. 170; Bashful Blue and Not Quite Navy cardstock
Accessories and Tools:  Small Open End Whisper White Envelopes (p. 171),  Certainly Celery 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Linen Thread, Brights Designer Buttons, Color Spritzer Tool, Mini Glue Dots, Snail Adhesive.
Learn more about the Color Spritzer Tool here.

I'd love to hear from you if you are enjoying this series.  Thanks for visiting today!

Just Believe! Cajun and Pear

Welcome to the third day of our Just Believe! set series.  My hope to show some of the versatility of this lovely set this week!
I wanted to showcase the silhouette stamps on this card and use the new color Cajun Craze.  The new Color Coach was my go-to tool for this to give me ideas for a color scheme.  You'll love the totally new Color Coach!  It has so much larger chunks of color and you can fan the pages out to see and compare colors together!   There's even a couple of pages to add your own color schemes!  Check it out; I think you'll really like it and see how it you would benefit from it!

First I sponged Cajun Craze onto the lower part of a piece of Blushing Bride, then More Mustard was blended above that.  The large silhouette was then stamped twice in Cajun Craze and the smaller stems were stamped sparingly in Pear Pizzazz.  The sentiment was added at the top in Cajun Craze and the right side torn off.  This was layered on Pear Pizzazz which has the bottom treated with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch and the right side torn also.  Pear Pizzazz ribbon was tied around for finishing.  This was all layered on a Cajun Craze card base.

Inside I added a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped a sentiment from Favorite Thoughts set (Summer Mini), which will not be available after today, August 31st. : (  Several stems were stamped in Pear Pizzazz to carry the design through to the inside for a finished look.

Just Believe! Celery and Pink

The second card in this Just Believe series is another easy one!  It does have lots of visual interest though, thanks to the deeply embossed texture in the pink layer!
Pink and Green are always a beautiful duet and this combination of Certainly Celery and Blushing Bride are no exception!   Using the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and the gorgeous new Elegant Lines Embossing Folder on the Blushing Bride layer gives a simple elegance to the card.

The sentiment "label" is from the Just Believe set.  I colored it with markers then stamped on Whisper White and cut it out with my Paper Snips.  The sentiment "L is for Love" is from the Grateful Greetings set (#116511, p. 27) in the catalog.  A sash and tie of Old Olive taffeta ribbon finish off the front.  This ribbon is retired but we have solid Old Olive Taffeta ribbon in the catalog; mine just hasn't arrived yet!

Two layers, a sentiment and a ribbon, viola!  Done!  You can use this for a number of occasions such as an anniversary card, wedding, wedding shower, Valentine or family or friend card.  It's a card I'll be pleased to send and which didn't take hours to make!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I'll have the third card in this series tomorrow!  Don't miss it!

Just Believe! Saffron and Circles

One of the sets we used for Make 'n Takes at the Stampin' Up! Convention was Just Believe!   I'll be showing off this wonderfully versatile set of nine stamps this week so I hope you will join me every day!

Today's card uses the circular flower stamp as the primary design focus.  The three circles are stamped with Wild Wasabi, So Saffron and Perfect Plum then punched out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch.  They are attached with Dimensionals to Whisper White cardstock that has been dry embossed with the new Elegant Lines Embossing Folder and the Big Shot then layered onto more Perfect Plum.

The card base of So Saffron has been stamped with the large floral stamp in So Saffron ink then the "just for you" from the set overstamped in Perfect Plum.

This is a simple card but of course you can always "gussy it up" with embellishments like ribbon, jewels, buttons, etc.; today I chose to leave it simple to keep the focus on the stamps.  (And sometimes we just need to make a quick card that goes together in a hurry, ya' know?!)

Thanks for visiting today!  Have a wonderful Sunday!  Hope to see you again this week!

Just Believe!

One of the sets we received in our bag at Stampin' Up! Convention and used for our Make and Takes is the wonderful set of nine stamps called Just Believe (#116948 w or #120453 c, p. 109).  This understated and elegant card was made at a pre-convention stamp camp.

The base is Sahara Sand layered with Crumb Cake and the new In Color Pear Pizzazz.  All of the stamps used on this card with the exception of the En Francais background stamped in Sahara Sand, are in the set, along with several others.

The circular floral stamp was stamped in Pear Pizzazz then punched out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and layered onto a circle of Crumb Cake punched out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch.  A hole was punched through the center of this with the larger hole punch on the Crop-a-Dile and the new Pear Pizzazz ribbon threaded through and tied with a length of Linen Thread for a nice touch.

As you can see, a good bit of sponging and tearing gives this card some interesting character.  I enjoyed making it and was pleased with the results!  I'm eager to make more projects with this beautiful set!

Thanks for dropping by today!
