Lattice Die Cards

Today I'm featuring the Lattice Die for the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. This gives such a pretty diecut! For me, it was love at first sight! lol! I can brag on these cards today because I didn't make them; they are all swaps that I received at the Stampin' Up! Convention in August! Lucky me!

The first card was made by my friend Claudia Perry from Georgia! She used the Medallion stamp in Soft Suede for the background layered on a Soft Suede square card, then layers of black, Crushed Curry and the lattice also in Soft Suede. The focal point is a stamp from the Circle Circus set embossed in clear onto a Crushed Curry circle and layered over a scallop circle.

This is such a stunning card! The narrow black layer really sets off the design and the gold brads are a great touch! Thanks for the beautiful card, Claudia!

The second card is made by my friend Gayle Enouen from Norman, OK. Gayle has a different approach (gee, why didn't I think of this!) cutting her lattice die onto a cardfront and keeping the lattice with the background and removing only the inner cuts. She then layered this over Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper and added inner cuts of Crushed Curry. Small Gold Brads really accent the design! All of this is layered over a Crushed Curry card.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes punched out with a Word Window Punch and layered over DSP punched out with the Modern Label Punch.

Another gorgeous card and great idea from a good friend and talented stamp artist! Thanks Gayle!

The third card is from Becky Jensen. Becky used a color scheme of Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive reflected by the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper she used for both the background and also the flower in the center. The Old Olive cardstock cut with the Lattice die forms a lovely background for the Dahlia-fold flower and the olive in the reverse side of the DSP makes it blend in perfectly.

A medium Ice Rhinestone brad in the center is a sparkly finishing touch for her 4 x 4" square card! Thanks Becky, for a beautiful swap!

I posted a Happy Birthday card I made with the Lattice Die that you can see HERE.

I hope you've enjoyed the cards today from these talented paper artists as well as the focus on the Lattice die!

Autumn Splendor Leaves In Colors II

I mentioned in my Autumn Leaves post last week that one could stamp an entire 8-1/2 x 11" sheet of cardstock with these beautiful leaf stamps, cut it up and make numerous cards with the pieces. I took my own challenge, lol, and stamped the sheet with leaves in Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango and Bermuda Bay, all Stampin' Up! In Colors(c) this year. I have made three cards already and haven't even used half the sheet!

I've varied the backgrounds and colors used behind the leaf layers to bring out different colors. I have quite a few birthdays and occasions this month so all these cards will be very useful.

This first card has Crushed Curry then Bermuda Bay layered behind the leaf piece, then wrapped with Bermuda Bay ribbon knotted in a Silver Designer Hardware Jumbo Grommet. The Dusty Durango card base was stamped with the same ink color using the French Filigree background stamp. (I hope you got your grommets while they were on sale this past week!) I will add the sentiment inside the card before I send it.

For the second card, a background layer of Really Rust has been run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Details Texturz Plate then lightly sponged with the same color ink and the edges distressed. The leaf piece is layered on a distressed Crushed Curry layer then a strip of Dusty Durango grosgrain wrapped around it. This is finished with a Circle Brad (I used a Sharpie pen to add the rusty color in one of the circles of the brad).

On the third card, I ran the leaf layer through the Big Shot with the Perfect Layers Texture Plate then gently sponged some Soft Suede ink over it to accentuate the dry embossing. I also used a Soft Suede card base, a Bermuda Bay layer behind the leaves and Dusty Durango Grosgrain Ribbon, the side without the polka dots.

Stamps: Autumn Splendor, French Filigree, Teeny Tiny Wishes (sentiments)
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Soft Suede, Really Rust
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Soft Suede, Really Rust, Very Vanilla, Whisper White
Accessories: Bermuda Bay and Dusty Durango Grosgrain Polka Dot Ribbon, Circle Brads, Silver Designer Hardware Jumbo Grommet
Tools: Modern Label, Word Window, 1" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle punches; Distresser tool from the Cutter Kit, Big Shot, Perfect Details Texturz Plate, Stampin Sponge.

By using various backgrounds, color combinations and accessories, you can come up with different looks. Not that it really matters because the recipients won't be seeing the other cards, but it is fun to use your supplies and creativity to make them all different, isn't it!

Thanks for visiting today! The last Deal of the Week for October will be announced shortly! Check my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website HERE for the scoop! You may order online while you are there also!

Top Note Message Center

This message center using the Stampin' Up!Top Note die is one of our Make 'n Take projects we made at our last Stamp Therapy meeting demo meeting. Designed by Connie Stewart (her blog post here), it consists of three segments using Top Note die cuts in So Saffron, Almost Artichoke and Bravo Burgundy. The decorative first section, a calendar on the second section and a pad of sticky notes on the third section make this an attractive and useful addition to an office or message area.

This is a fun project made easy and decorative with the use of the Big Shot die cutting machine. It would also make a great gift made in custom colors for the chosen recipient.

Stamps: All Holiday, Note to Self (HM, #116527)
Inks: Bravo Burgundy
Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Almost Artichoke, So Saffron; Almost Artichoke Designer Paper (retired)
Accessories: BoHo Blossoms Punch, Silver Mini Brads, Rich Razzleberry Grosgrain Ribbon, Snail Adhesive, sticky notes, mini-calendar, binder clip. All products by Stampin' Up! except sticky note, mini-calendar and binder clip.

I've missed posting the last couple of days; I've been out of town to attend a funeral.

Thanks for dropping by today! Have a great weekend!

Autumn Splendor In Colors

Today I have a quick card that would be easy to make in multiples. I've used the beautiful fine-line Autumn Splendor set again with those big beautiful leaves, stamping them in three of this year's Stampin' Up! In Colors. Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango and Soft Suede colors go together so well and are wonderful for full color schemes!

Each of the three leaves is stamped in a different color on a Naturals Ivory cardstock background. This cardstock has tiny flecks in it to give it a natural look and it takes the colors well. The corners were punched with the Ticket Corner Punch to mirror the corners of the Designer Label punch used with the sentiment. I used a strip of the Dusty Durango Polka Dot Grosgrain ribbon with the polka dots turned to the inside for a different look.

The sentiment, from the Falling Leaves set, was stamped in Soft Suede onto Very Vanilla cardstock, punched out with the Modern Label punch then sponged with Dusty Durango. This was layered onto a 1" circle of Crushed Curry then on Soft Suede punched out with the Designer Label punch. A Gold Mini Brad at the top is the final touch.

Stamps: Autumn Splendor, sentiment from Falling Leaves
Ink: Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry
Cardstock: Dusty Durango, Naturals Ivory, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Dusty Durango Polka Dot Grosgrain ribbon, Modern Label Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Designer Label Punch, Ticket Corner Punch, Gold Mini Brad.
All products from (c)Stampin' Up!

This was a quick and easy card and we all need these at times. You could stamp a whole sheet of cardstock like this very quickly and you would have four full cardfronts in a snap!

Thanks for dropping by! Have a creative day!s

Wandering Words Vintage Christmas Card

Wandering Words.. I'm loving this set! It's really fun to stamp with and has it's own unique look! It covers three seasons/holidays plus the stamp with the mailbox could really be used for many more occasions than Valentine's Day! We made this card last night at a workshop and the ladies really liked it.

The card base is Kraft cardstock. On this I adhered a layer of Soft Suede cardstock which has been run through the Big Shot machine with the Flourish Texturz Plate. I like the textured swirls with this stamp! I made a shimmer spray with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and alcohol mixed into a small spray bottle. This was spritzed over the Soft Suede layer after the edges were distressed with the tool in the Cutter Kit. If you look at this first picture closely, you can see a little of the subtle shimmer; click on the picture to see a larger photo.

For the image layer, I inked the Santa and reindeer stamp with Real Red and Soft Suede Stampin' Write markers and stamped on the Very Vanilla cardstock. The cardstock edges were distressed then it was treated to the shimmer spray; this was then layered onto Real Red which has one edge scalloped with the Scallop Edge Punch. A circle of Soft Suede was placed on the end then a hole punch made a place to accomodate the ribbon tie. Appropriately enough, this ribbon is named Sleigh Bells and
is found in the Holiday Mini. It really complements the warm vintage feel of this card!

Some inspiration for this card is the sample in the Holiday Mini Catalog. That is such a wonderful thing about Stampin' Up!'s catalogs...they are filled with full-color fabulous ideas for using all the great products found in them! When looking for inspiration, be sure to check the catalogs first! Then use your own creativity to do your own thing! : )

Stamps: Wandering Words set (#116507, HM*)
Inks: Real Red and Soft Suede Stampin' Write Markers
Paper: Kraft, Soft Suede, Real Red, Very Vanilla

Tools: Cutter Kit, Big Shot, SU Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plate Set (#114512), Scallop Edge Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 1/8" Hole Punch (retired SU), non-Spray Bottle (an empty Stampin' Mist bottle is perfect!).

Autumn Splendor in Gold

Autumn is here, the leaves are turning, the pumpkins are on display... I love to make cards with leaf stamps this time of year! The new Autumn Splendor set is a favorite! This time I stamped the leaves and acorns on Watercolor Paper and heat embossed them with gold, then used the Aqua Painter to add color to them. I cut them out when dry. How fun!

The card itself is Kraft cardstock then overlaid with a pattern from the beautiful Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper. The upper portion is Really Rust cardstock which has been wheeled with the new Texture Jumbo Wheel in Really Rust (it's subtle) then run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Details Texturz Plate. The edges of both the rust and DSP were treated with the Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit to give a shabby chic look. Additional ink was sponged on the raised portions of the Really Rust to highlight the design.

A band of that scrumptious wide Chocolate Chip Striped Grosgrain ribbon was added around that layer of the card then the leaves were added with Snail Adhesive and Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Holiday Best set, stamped in Chocolate Chip on Really Rust and punched out with the Wide Oval Punch. The edges were sponged and a Chocolate Chip punch out with the Modern Label Punch was added to the back to ground the oval This was adhered with Dimensionals then the acorns were added to the top of it with Mini Glue Dots.

It was hard to catch all the colors with my camera this morning but it turned out really pretty in person! Here's a closer-up picture:

Stamps: Autumn Leaves; Holiday Best (Hostess set)
Inks: Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, Taken With Teal, More Mustard, VersaMark
Paper: Autumn Meadows (in the Holiday Mini Catalog), Really Rust, Kraft, Watercolor Paper
Accessories: 1 1/4" Chocolate Chip Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Gold Glory Embossing Powder
Tools: Texture Jumbo Wheel and handle, Big Shot, Perfect Details Texturz Plate, Heat Tool, Aqua Painter, Modern Label Punch, Paper Snips, Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit, Stampin' Sponge, Mini Glue Dots

Build-A-Bear Magnet Board BC#121

That Build-A-Bear (referred to as BAB) is SO CUTE! I sent a little girl a BAB card on her birthday and her mother said she absolutely loved it and carried it around all day, talking about it. Children love the Build-A-Bear! I have been wanting to make a BAB magnet board for a Christmas gift and ran across one ready made so I snatched it up quickly to use for this project.

First I used Garden Green for the lower portion "grass". I trimmed the top edge with SU's retired Deckle Scissors. Then I wheeled several colors of green with various Jumbo Wheels and punched them out with the Scallop Circle Punch. I used scraps for quite a few of these punchies, and a couple of retired greens snuck into this project! (the beloved Kiwi and Wasabi!) The tree trunk is Soft Suede cardstock run through the Big Shot with the "Distressed" Texturz Plate and then trimmed by hand. These elements were all applied to the magnet board with Snail Adhesive and some Dimensionals on a few of the tree scallops. The sun is the larger scallop circle cut with the Big Shot and the Scallop Circles #2 die. I cut it once then rotated the circle slightly and ran it through again; this cut the scallops into little points. I used YoYo Yellow and then sponged the edges with Summer Sun.

The circular storage containers are great to store the clothes for the Build-A-Bears cut with the Big Shot and the Beary Essentials die. They have a magnetic bottom and are easily removed from the board.

Jumbo Wheels: Cornelli Lace, Whimsey, Texture
Inks: Garden Green, Old Olive
Paper: Soft Suede, YoYo Yellow, Garden Green, Old Olive, Wild Wasabi (retired), Kiwi Kiss (retired); Pawsitively Prints Designer Paper for the BAB clothes.
Tools: Jumbo Handle, Big Shot, Distressed Texturz Plate, Scallop Circles #2 Die, BAB Die, Beary Essentials die, adhesive magnetic sheets for BAB and clothes.

All products except magnet board and containers (c)Stampin' Up!

This was fun to put together. I may want to play with it awhile before I give it away for Christmas! :)

This project is also for today's Blogger's Challenge #121: Alter It! You can see a list of the other challengers here. Not everyone participates every week but they are all talented stampers and you'll enjoy their blogs.

Thanks for visiting today. I always enjoy your comments too! Thanks!

Wandering Words and Shimmery Christmas Snow scape

One of the cool sets in the Holiday Mini that caught my eye the first time I looked through it was Wandering Words. Three unique good-sized stamps with a fall, Christmas and love theme are included. I love the flowing images they each one bring to a composition, perfect for horizontal cards!

First I brayered Bashful Blue ink over Whisper White cardstock that had a 1 3/4" circle mask for the moon. Once I got the Bashful Blue smooth (takes a while) I then sponged on some Brocade Blue. The mask was removed, the negative circle mask was laid over the empty circle and the new Frost White Shimmer Paint was swirled on with a Sponge Dauber. Wow, what a shimmery moon! I then laid this aside to dry. You can get an idea of the shimmer in the smaller photo below, but like glitter, pictures don't do the shimmer justice. (Photography is a challenge these days anyway because of all the rain and dreary skies for days and days)

Next I took a quarter sheet of white and, using my rotary cutter from the Cutter Kit, freehand cut the slope from left to right, then cut the right-hand slope. Frost White Shimmer Paint was added to these pieces with the Sponge Dauber. I heated this gently with Heat Tool to dry it quickly then layered these onto the brayered sheet forming the snowscape.

The reindeer sleigh stamp was inked with Basic Black Classic ink and stamped onto the sky and moon. Next to make the trees and snowflake, I used the Big Shot and the SU Merry Details Sizzlet to cut these out of Whisper White that had already been daubered with the Frost White Shimmer Paint and dried. I applied these to the snowscape then this layer was adhered to a Real Red cardstock layer. A ribbon and bow of 1/4" Red Gingham ribbon was adhered to the top corner, then the entire thing was layered onto a Night of Navy card.

Stamps: Wandering Words, inside sentiments from Christmas Cardinal set.
Inks: Basic Black, Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Night of Navy
Accessories: Merry Details Sizzlet, Big Shot, 1/4" Red Gingham Ribbon, Glue Dots, Frost White Shimmer Paint, Cutter Tool Kit, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Sponge Daubers, Brayer.

This was a fun adventure to make; I was just trying things out all the way. I'm happy with how it turned out; this card has a lot of beautiful shimmer and I LOVE that! The Wandering Words set, Shimmer Paint and Merry Details Sizzlet are found in the Holiday Mini Catalog; everything else is in the large catalog. Contact me if you have any questions about purchasing these or any other Stampin' Up! products.

Thanks for dropping by! Wishing you a creative day!

Pumpkins from Punches

What do you do when you don't have any current pumpkin stamps and want to make a pumpkin card? You make some of the rotund gourd-like creations with punches! These are easy and fun to make; just use the Small, Large and Wide Oval Punches, the 1-3/8" Circle Punch and the Scribbles Swirls Sizzlet (say that fast three times! lol!) for the stems, leaves and tendrils.

The pumpkin pieces were punched from Pumpkin Pie card stock then the edges sponged with Dusty Durango ink and a Stampin' Sponge. Use your Big Shot machine to die cut the Scribbles Swirls Sizzlet from Old Olive cardstock then the Top Note Die from both Dusty Durango cardstock and Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper. I chose that DSP for its soft subtle yet elegant design...love it!

I trimmed off the outside margin of the DSP Top Note (there is a line there that looks like stitching so it's easy) so the Dusty Durango Top Note would show for a nice frame around the composition. The "Gratitude" greeting from the Falling Leaves set was stamped on the Bella Bleu DSP in Bravo Burgundy using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for placement.

I found that Sahara Sand cardstock is a great complement to this DSP pattern so I used it for a background after wheeling it with the Texture Jumbo Wheel and Sahara Sand ink. It's subtle but adds depth and visual texture...I really like that wheel! You need it! lol! This was then layered onto an Old Olive card base. Another sentiment from the Falling Leaves set is stamped on the inside. Viola! finished!

Stamps: Falling Leaves stamp set; Texture Jumbo Wheel
Inks: Bravo Burgundy, Dusty Durango, Sahara Sand (all Classic)
Paper: Bella Bleu DSP; Pumpkin Pie, Dusty Durango, Sahara Sand, Old Olive cardstocks
Tools: Big Shot machine, Top Note Die, Scribbles Swirls Sizzlet, Paper Snips, Jumbo wheel handle, Stampin' Sponge.

All products by Stampin' Up! Any of these may be ordered from my Stampin' Up! demonstrator website here. Or you may contact me by email to order at funstampin @ cox.net (remove spaces)

Ornament Punch Vase!

Happy Columbus Day in the USA today!
Happy Thanksgiving Day to our wonderful Canadian neighbors!

Ooh, the Ornament Punch found in the Holiday Mini Catalog is so cool! I'm having fun using it for non-ornament cards. Today it is used to make a vase for flowers!

I used the same sheet of Melon Mambo card stock texturized with the Damask Texturz Plate that I used on the flower petals in my last post here. and just punched out another ornament and trimmed the pointed end off flat. I sponged the edges with the same color ink, shaped it a little with my fingers and laid it aside.

Next I wheeled Certainly Celery ink (the lighter version of Old Olive) onto a Whisper White Top Note (cut with the Big Shot and the Top Note die) with the new Texture Jumbo Wheel. Then I stamped the flower stem from Flower Fancy with Always Artichoke ink on that. I then colored the images with a Blender Pen and inks. I stamped an additional large flower onto a piece of white, colored it as I did the other, cut it out and applied it directly on top of the first one with a Dimensional. It really is eye-catching that way! You can see the dimension a little better in the second picture; click on it to see it larger.

I then added the vase with a Dimensional in the center. The sentiment from the All Holidays set was stamped in Always Artichoke using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for placement.

The card base is Melon Mambo, then a layer of Whisper White then a stripe layer from the package of Old Olive Patterns Designer Series Paper. {Seems like I use so much Old Olive that I knew I would really benefit from having a whole package of DSP just in Old Olive! Sure enough, I'm already using and enjoying it!} Melon Mambo Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon was applied diagonally over the Whisper White and Old Olive layers. The Top Note layer was added last.

Just another use for the Ornament Punch! Of course, it also works beautifully with the coordinating stamp set Delightful Decorations, as seen here, here, here, here and here. But it truly can be used other seasons of the year too! It's not just for Christmas any more!

Thanks to Ellen Kemper and others for coming up with the vase idea for this punch. I don't know whose idea it was first, but it was a good one! Stampers are SO creative!

Thanks for dropping by! Hope you have a good Monday!

Ornament Punch Flower

WooHoo, it's Friday and time for another Bloggers Challenge, #120 already! Today's challenge is a sketch. Lots of possibilities! I immediately thought of a large flower when I saw it. I'm also wanting to show my ladies different ways to use the ornament punch so this an opportunity for that purpose too!

I put a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock through the Big Shot with the Damask Texturz Plate then punched out eight "petals" with the Ornament punch from the Holiday Mini, then punched out eight more "petals" from Rich Razzleberry cardstock. After adhering each Melon petal on a Razzleberry petal, I built the flower by attaching four petals to a 1-3/8" cardstock circle. The second layer of four petals was added with Dimensionals to give depth to the flower. The center circle (1" Circle Punch) of Crushed Curry cardstock was put through the Big Shot with the Small Dots Texturz Plate, distressed a little on the edges and added with several Dimensionals. This was fun to build!

The card itself is Crushed Curry cut to 9" x 6-1/4", folded to 4-1/2 x 6 1/4" (it had to be larger to accommodate the large flower!), which will fit an A-6 envelope. This has a layer of Rich Razzleberry and then a layer of a print from the Razzleberry Lemonade pack. Another print from the package forms the vertical section which is then enhanced by the yummy Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon. Two medium Circle Fire Brads are added to that.

The sentiment is from the wonderful Teeny Tiny Wishes set of 24 expressions. This was stamped on Crushed Curry, punched with the Word Window Punch then layered onto a Melon Mambo Modern Label Punch and attached with Dimensionals. Dots are done with the White Signo Gel Pen.

Here is the original sketch for today's Bloggers Challenge #120; isn't it a fun one?!

You can see a list of the other Blogger's Challengers and check out what these talented stampers did for this sketch here.

Thanks for visiting today! Come back soon! I'll still be stamping! :)

Have a great weekend!

Ornament Punch Acorn & Leaves #2 Die

I've had so much fun experimenting with my Big Shot Leaves #2 Die and also trying out a new use for Stampin' Up!'s new Ornament Punch which coordinates with the Delightful Decorations stamp set. I was inspired by Ellen Kemper's acorn she made from this punch here, and this being fall and all, I just had to try it. Besides, I told my ladies that this punch can be used for more than ornaments, so I had to prove it. : )

After I made my acorn, I had to figure out a card to put it on; I was having trouble coming up with a subtle not-too-busy background. I was wishing SU had a leaf Texturz Plate or embossing folder. Hmm, maybe I could make my own? I could experiment with the Leaves #2 die? I diecut two of the leaves (three layers of cardstock), the oak and maple-looking ones, ran them through the Big Shot with my Ruby Red cardstock and Viola!, my deeply-embossed leaf background! WooHoo! Don'tcha just love it when an experiment turns out like you hoped?! I can't wait to try it with other die cuts using my Sizzix-Big Shot dies and also our punches!! What possibilities!!

I lightly misted my cardstock before running it through. Here's the sandwich I used from the bottom up: Multipurpose Platform (comes with the Big Shot from Stampin' Up!) opened to Tab 1, Cutting Pad, leaf die cuts, cardstock, Texturz Silicone Rubber, Texturz Impressions Pad. It was a tight fit but went through fine. Each Big Shot will vary just a tiny bit so you may want to try it with no tab first and see how it works for you.

Here's my finished card. The acorn is punched from the beautiful Autumn Traditions Designer Series Paper in More Mustard and Soft Suede prints. I sponged it with Soft Suede ink, adhered it with Dimensionals onto pierced and sponged Sahara Sand (this goes great with Soft Suede!) then Whisper White. This was then layered onto the Ruby Red leaf-embossed background with a strip of Soft Suede Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon. The card itself is More Mustard cardstock.

For the sentiment, I stamped the "Grateful" on More Mustard cardstock with Soft Suede ink, punched it with the Modern Layer Punch then layered it on a Modern Label diecut (which is a little larger ) cut with the Movers and Shapers die and the coordinating die from the Punch Windows (#115953, set of 4). Two Antique Brass brads from the Vintage Brads package complete it.

Thanks for coming by today! Have some fun stampin' soon!

Falling Leaves TSSC91

Ahh, I'm back with my Technostamper Monday Sketch Challenge! I've missed a few days with other issues so I'm glad to be back today with my challenge card! Today's sketch is pretty simple with three circles and three stripes to consider.

And here's my card. I used the wonderful Falling Leaves set (#115368, set of 9, $21.95, p. 27) that is new in the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog; there are some great words in this set too!

I chose the Autumn Traditions Designer Series Paper (#115668, p. 160) for it's beautiful fall images and color scheme. Rich Ruby Red cardstock is the card base, and I ran the card front through the Big Shot with the Squares Texturz Plate to give it some texture. I then added a Soft Suede cardstock layer at the top to which I added strips of three patterns of the DSP after I distressed the bottom edge with the Distresser Tool from the Cutter Kit. What a handy tool!

Note: Ruby Red cardstock size: 6" x 6-3/4" before folding to 6" x 3-3/8"; Soft Suede cardstock size: 2-3/8" x 5-3/4". This will fit into a standard 6-3/8" x 3-5/8" envelope.

For the circles I stamped one leaf in Elegant Eggplant, one in Always Artichoke and the circle image which says "Happy Thanksgiving" in More Mustard with the acorn in the center being colored in with the Soft Suede Marker before stamping. These were all layered on coordinating circles punched from card stock. The acorn in the center image was covered with Crystal Effects to make it stand out.

Stamps: Falling Leaves, Itty Bitty Backgrounds (#114996, set of 4, $14.95, pg. 132)
Inks: Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard, Always Artichoke; Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker
Paper: Ruby Red, Whisper White, Soft Suede, Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke
Accessories: 1 3/8", 1 1/4", 1" Circle Punches, Cutter Kit, Big Shot, Squares Texturz Plate, Crystal Effects, Dimensionals.

You can see Technostamper's card and the list of others who are participating this week right here. Here's the original sketch:

Thanks for visiting today! May your Monday be a good one!
