Candy Wrapper Treat Boxes, Part II!

I had so much fun making the first three Candy Wrapper treat boxes that I couldn't wait to make more!  I had an idea for a different way to use them and had to try it out!
Yes, as ornaments!  How cute will that be to hang these on a tree or perhaps even a garland?!  I think I"m going to hang these plus the previous three (here) on my "pot rack" over the kitchen island with some greenery!  Can't wait to see how that looks, but I do have to wait until after Thanksgiving to redecorate, lol!
All these candy wrapper boxes use Champagne Glimmer Paper, Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo, Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade and Very Vanilla colors of cardstock, ribbon, ink and trims plus Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine for the hanger loops.   The gingerbread man from the Got Treats? set just fit perfectly on the background punched with the Scallop Oval Punch.  Other punches used were the Large Oval, Wide Oval and BoHo Blossoms Punch.
The two candy wrapper treat boxes above use the Festival of Prints Designer Paper Pack, which makes it easy to coordinate all the colors!

The last box has a wrap of Candlelight Christmas Designer Paper; it has the very same colors in it so it combined perfectly with the Festival of Prints papers used on the first five boxes.  The Champagne Glimmer Paper, Clear and Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details accent both the Christmas tree here, the nose and antlers of the reindeer and the buttons on the gingerbread man!

I hope you have enjoyed these and perhaps have gotten some inspiration to use your Candy Wrapper Bigz L Die.  It is SOOO easy as it does all the work!  It both cuts and scores your cardstock, so there is no guesswork in where to fold this... it's all laid out for you.  You just get to have all the fun decorating them!

P.S.  Besides holding candy, small trinkets or folded money, these boxes could also hold very special jewelry gifts such as diamond earrings or a precious stone drop.. okay, I'm dreaming now, lol!

Remember,  you can purchase these and/or any other Stampin' Up! products from my secure online Stampin' Up! store HERE using Mastercard, Discover or Visa, and they will be shipped directly to your door from Stampin' Up!  Please contact me through my Stampin' Up! website HERE if you have any questions about ordering.

Joyous Celebrations Candy Wrapper Treat Boxes!

It's still fall, I love Thanksgiving time yet I'm thinking ahead to Christmas these days!  How about you? Working on those Christmas cards yet?  Me too, but I took some time out to make these fun Candy Wrapper boxes recently.
The treat boxes were diecut with the Big Shot diecutting machine and the Stampin' Up! Candy Wrapper Bigz L Die!  They don't take that much cardstock; you can get two out of a 8.5" x 11" sheet of cardstock, and have a nice almost 2.5" x 11" piece left to use for punches and other things!
I used the Festival of Prints Designer Paper Pack to embellish my treat boxes.  I cut a 1.5"x 6" strip from the 4.5"x 6" sheet for the wrap.  This means you can get three "wraps" out of one sheet from the pack!  Nice!  And, these sheets are double-sided so you could use the other side for a totally different look!
For the sentiment on each Candy Wrapper, I realized that the Joyous Celebrations set from the 2012 Holiday Catalog would be a great fit!  I've used punches and the beautiful Champagne Glimmer Paper (again from the Holiday Catalog) to embellish each box.
The "Dec. 25" wrapper was tied with 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon in Lucky Limeade to coordinate with the DSP.  The other two were tied with (retired) Cherry Cobbler Ribbon (from 2011 Holiday Catalog) which I still have (and love);  Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon would work just as well!
Here is another view of all three of the boxes together.

Thanks for dropping by!  I hope you've enjoyed them!  Hmm, I have another vision for these dancing in my head so stay tuned; hopefully I'll have time to get that down on cardstock soon!

Ornament Keepsakes Christmas Card

Love, love, love the products in this Holiday Mini, including all the Framelits and coordinating stamp sets!  Genius!  Today's card is another Make 'n Take from a recent workshop and it features the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set and coordinating Holiday Ornaments Framelits which die cut them perfectly!!
The ornament is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink onto Whisper White cardstock then diecut with the coordinating shape Framelit.  On a second piece of Whisper White, I used the Festival Paper Piercing Pack to pierce the same ornament shape, then attached the ornament with Dimensionals.
The card base is Whisper White overlaid with a 4" x 4" piece of diagonal striped Snow Festival DSP.  A strip of Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon covers the "seam" and "Merry Christmas" from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink at the bottom.   This was again a pretty quick and easy card; the Framelits, paper-piercing pack and designer paper boost the pizzazz quotient of the design, all the while making it easier!
Don't forget that you can save 15% on the Ornament Keepsake stamp set and Holiday Framelits Dies by purchasing the "bundle" available in the Holiday Mini!  I purchased the bundle myself because I wanted these products and I also appreciate a good value!  All these products can be purchased through my online Stampin' Up! shopping site or by contacting me through my same website.

Wonderfall Fall!

Wow, November already and we're in the middle of fall!  Fall holds some of the most lovely days of the year, when the sunshine is clear, the air is cooler and the leaves show us more colors than the normal green!  We've had some gorgeous days here in Oklahoma lately.
At my most recent workshop we made this card featuring the Wonderfall stamp set and the Autumn Accents Die for the Big Shot.  The die gives us some beautiful leaf shapes and the coordinating Wonderfall stamps add patterns to the leaves!  A great duo!
I used the color scheme from the Orchard Harvest Designer PaperMore Mustard, Cajun Craze and Lucky Limeade.  The maple leaf was stamped with its coordinating Wonderfall stamp while I used the Woodgrain Embossing Folder to add faux-vein texture to the smaller Lucky Limeade leaf.  The sentiment, from the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set, was stamped onto Sahara Sand, punched with the Large Oval Punch and embellished with a Cajun Craze Glimmer Brad.
A wide strip of the apple Orchard Harvest Designer Paper goes across the bottom portion of the card and is anchored with a band of 1/4" Early Espresso Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.  This made for a pretty easy and yet attractive seasonal card!

Daydream Medallions & Floral Frames Tags - Day 4

The Daydream Medallions set is such a versatile set that it can be used for CHRISTMAS too!  All those lovely gifts are going to need tags and then you'll have a few very special gifts that need very special tags!  This dynamic duo of Daydream Medallions stamp set and Floral Frames Framelits will help you to whip them out quickly with your Big Shot and have fun doing it!  I have two tags for you today:
I used the largest stamp in the set and the second largest Framelit to create the outside layer of Whisper White cardstock stamped with Gumball Green ink.  Cherry Cobbler ink is stamped on the second layer of Whisper White cardstock then Brushed Gold cardstock (so elegant for the holidays) was stamped with "Peace on Earth".  This sentiment is  from the new Greetings of the Season set from the Holiday Catalog.
This shows the dimension of the tag and also the sheen of the Brushed Gold cardstock.  I used some of the luxurious Cherry Cobbler 3-1/2" Scalloped Tulle Ribbon for the tie on this tag; it pleasantly surprised me with how soft it is yet it has enough body for bows and edgings too!  I really like it and think you will too!  This beautiful tulle is also available in Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.
The second tag is made of Real Red, Gumball Green and Whisper White cardstocks.  I used VersaMark ink and White Embossing Powder for the patterns on the outer two laters.
The Whisper White sentiment layer was stamped in Gumball Green ink with "Noel" from the same Greetings of the Season set as the first tag and several Rhinestones were added for some holiday bling!
The perfect tie for this tag is the lovely Gumball Green 1/4" Sweater Trim!  It is SO easy to work with, ties lovely bows and gives great balance for the size of the tag.  It's also great for wrapping gifts, topping boxes and bags and tying bags around gifts like bottles and jars!  Again, I wasn't sure until I got it and used it, and I believe you'll love it when you use it too!  (and find more and more uses for it than I have mentioned already!)  It also comes in Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White colors.

You can purchase these and/or any other Stampin' Up! products from my secure online Stampin' Up! store HERE using Mastercard, Discover or Visa, and they will be shipped directly to your door from Stampin' Up!  Contact me through my Stampin' Up! website HERE if you have any questions about ordering.

I hope you've enjoyed the tags today;  I'd love to hear from you... what uses have you found for the Scalloped Tulle or Sweater Trim?  Share with us in the comments section?  Thanks!

More tomorrow.  Until then, happy creating!

Blooming with Kindness for Fall

What can I say?  I just love this Blooming with Kindness set!!  It has this one chrysanthemum flower image and five sentiments in lovely script; I have found it to be so versatile in many color schemes and occasions.  I keep coming back to use it often!
I love the graphic plaids and stripes in the new Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper* and it makes a colorful background for this flower!  The colors of Tangerine Tango, More Mustard, Basic Black and Basic Gray in this collection just speak autumn to me!  How about you?
The Tangerine Tango flower is stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock and then sponged with So Saffron ink.  I used my Spritz Tool with my Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write Marker to add some flecks of color to the image.  (Can you see the little strip of the DSP I added to the inside of the card?)
The card base is More Mustard and the layering is done using Basic Gray cardstock.  A looped tab of the new 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon* (Basic Black and Basic Gray) tucked under the right side of the flower layer is accented with a lovely brad from the Antique Brads collection.

I love the sentiments in this set; however, because of the layout of this card, I chose to use the birthday greeting from the Curly and Cute set.  I've used the other ones quite a bit already though, and you will too if you have this set because they cover a variety of occasions!

You can see other cards I've done with this set HERE, HERE and HERE.

Thanks for visiting today!  I always appreciate your comments and encouragement!

"AUTUMN" Garland

Life has been busy around here with home improvement and repair (from hail and storm damage) plus some home decor and cleaning!  Whew!  I'd rather be stamping!!  lol!  But it is always really nice to get some things checked off the to-do list!

I did get to spend some time in my stamp room since part of my home decorating included making a little garland celebrating the first of autumn last weekend.  I love to make and decorate with garlands and banners and my Big Shot makes it so much quicker and better too!  No fussy cutting on these babies; it's all done with dies!

First I'll show you the pictures and then I'll list what I used to make this wreath that I hung on the light fixture/pot rack over the island in my kitchen:

This photo is of the garland strung onto the fixture, but it was difficult to get a very good photo:
At any rate, it hung nicely between the lights and there were six spaces, so it was just the perfect number for an "AUTUMN" garland!

Main products used for the garland, all from Stampin' Up!:
Bigz Typeset Alphabet Dies, #127553
Big Shot Die Cutting Machine  #113439
Bigz XL Pennant Die (retired, but it was just the perfect size so I just had to use it!)
*Bigz Die Autumn Accents #127812
Vintage Wallpaper Folder #120175
Scallop Edge Border Punch $119882
*Champagne Glimmer Paper #127885
Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper #126898
Cardstocks:  Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Summer Starfruit, Lucky Limeade, Midnight Muse, More Mustard
Small Flower Buttons from the Regals, Neutrals, Brights Designer Buttons Collections
Gold Glow Smooch Spritz  #118770

*Holiday Catalog 2012

I love the new Typeset Alphabet!  It was just the right size for this banner but it also works nicely on cards and many other type projects!

Thanks for visiting today!  I will be back in a day or two with more projects!

Happy Stamping!

Autumn Accents and Orchard Harvest Again...

Today's post is a card I did for a "Fall" themed swap in which I participated.  This is the second card I've posted using the new-this-year Autumn Accents (leaf) die, and it won't be the last  ; )   I have another project under construction as we speak... lol!  I just love all the things you can do with this die and the colors we can use!
Colors used are Cherry Cobbler, Raspberry Ripple, More Mustard, Lucky Limeade, Cajun Craze and Early EspressoThe card base is More Mustard with a layer of Early Espresso which has been embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder (can you tell I really really like that folder?  lol!)
I took a strip of the corn print from the Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper package and softened it a bit by pulling it over the Bone Folder.  I then put Sticky Strip Adhesive on the Early Espresso card layer and "gathered" the designer paper over that.  I added Early Espresso 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain ribbon which had been threaded through one of the new Designer Round Ribbon Slides from the Holiday Catalog.
Three leaves were tucked under the ruffling then the sentiment from the Pursuit of Happiness set, stamped on More Mustard and punched with the Designer Label Punch was added with Dimensionals.

It was fun to try a technique I hadn't done before: "gathering" the Designer Paper.  I hope you enjoyed the card.

Don't forget the Super September Special from Stampin' Up!:  Back to Spool!  Click on the picture below to get the details on my official Stampin' Up! website and online ordering store:
