I seem to be gravitating to the use of turquoise (or blue) plus yellow in several of my latest cards which I'll be posting here soon; It must be the bright sunshine of this hot summer, plus wishing for a swimming pool in which to cool off! lol! The card I'm posting today is using the new Blooming with Kindness set which has this beautiful large single blossom stamp!
The large blossom was stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink onto Daffodil Delight and cut out with the fabulous new Framelit set in the just available fab new Holiday Catalog: Window Frame Framelit! I diecut a second layer from Pumpkin Pie cardstock using the next larger size framelit in the set then dry embossed it with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder.
I used Dazzling Details to accent the blossom by following the petal lines as a guide. I used a Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Brad from the Brights Collection in the center, underlaid by a small blossom of Tempting Turquoise punched with the BoHo Blossoms Punch (I use this punch all the time, do you?) This is attached to the larger Pumpkin Pie layer with Dimensionals.
The card base is Pumpkin Pie cut 4-1/4"x11" overlaid with a 4"x5-1/4" piece of First Edition Designer Series Paper. Next layer is a 3-1/2 x 5-1/4" piece of Tempting Turquoise cardstock that was treated to the Scallop Edge Punch down both sides then run through the Big Shot in the new Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder, also from the new Holiday Catalog! Finally a slash of 1/8" Black Taffeta Ribbon with a greeting from the Itty Bitty Banners set diecut with the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelit. There are FIVE beautiful greetings in the Blooming with Kindness set which one could use here too!
