Choose Happiness CCMC348

Today is Thursday and we have another great challenge for you!  This time it is a Color Challenge featuring Rose Red, Soft Sky and Sahara Sand... an unexpected but lovely combination that I really liked when I began working with it!

I used Soft sky for the card base.  Next is a layer of Rose Red and Sahara Sand Designer Paper which is stamped with Rose Red flowers and Sahara Sand leaves.

The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black  and the bird in Soft Sky over it; a Soft Sky layer was placed under this and accented with small Basic Pearls.  A length of Soft Sky Baker's Twine was tied around the panel before adhering it to the base card.  I stamped one more flower on Whisper White and fussy-cut it then layered it onto the background.

Stamps:  Choose Happiness, Flower Patch.
Inks:  Rose Red, Soft Sky, Sahara Sand, Basic Black
Paper:  Sahara Sand DSP from Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack; Soft Sky, Rose Red, Whisper White.
Accessories:  Corner Rounder, Basic Pearls, Soft Sky Baker's Twine, Paper Snips

Here again is the Color Challenge for this week at Create with Connie and Mary:

Isn't this a cool color challenge?   We really want you to join us with your creations using this color scheme!  Check out the Challenge team's cards on the Create with Connie and Mary  then make your card and link it on the CCMC website!  That's it!  Can't wait to see what you make!

Thanks for visiting!  Have a stamp-happy day!!

I love the stamped flowers on the DSP Margaret - they add real interest to the background. I love the bluebird behind the sentiment too!

I need to remember to stamp the dsp this way! It is really lovely, and of course coordinates perfectly when you use the image again with the greeting. Very pretty card!

What a pretty card, Margaret! You always have an eye for details. Love how you stamped the bird behind the sentiment. That to me is the perfect touch.

I love the flowers and leaves stamped right over the dsp, and then the sentiment stamped over the bird! Lovely!
