CELEBRATE!! CCMC361

Its another Thursday and time for a challenge from Create with Connie and Mary!  This week we have a color combo of Real Red, Lost Lagoon and Crumb Cake for our challenge.  Because of the upcoming July 4th holiday, I immediately thought of a patriotic card; I thought this worked well even though the blue is a bit of a non-traditional tone...

I used a piece of Crumb Cake and dry embossed it with the Lucky Stars embossing folder; next I added a strip of Real Red and Lost Lagoon.  Over that is another layer of Crumb Cake which has been punched with the Confetti Stars Border Punch which allows the red and lagoon to show through.

I wrapped a length of Real Red 1/4" Cotton Ribbon around these layers then attached the wood "Celebrate" over that (It is natural light-colored wood even though it looks more white in this picture).

A Red Glimmer Paper diecut star  with loops of gold thread behind it anchor the top left corner and two addition punched Gold Glimmer stars are the final decoration.

Stamps: none on the outside
Inks:       "     "     "     "
Papers:  Real Red, Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake cardstocks, Gold Glimmer Paper
Accessories:  Star Framelits, Big Shot, 1/4" Real Red Cotton Ribbon, Star Punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Confetti Stars Border Punch, Gold Metallic Thread, Expressions Natural Elements, Lucky Stars Embossing Folder.

Here again is the Color Challenge from Create with Connie and Mary this week:

Now it's your turn to join the challenge using these colors this week!  All the guidelines are on the Create with Connie and Mary website; we would love to see what you do with these colors!!  While there, check out the creations of the other Challenge Team members to see what they made and be inspired!!

Thanks for stopping by!  If you are in the US and celebrating this weekend, have fun!  Everyone have a great weekend!  See you next week for a sketch challenge!!

I love all of the different star details, especially the two strips of confetti stars with backgrounds in our challenge colors! Great way to tie them together in the middle, too!

I love the way you split the colors up! But of course my favorite elements are all stars and bling! A perfect card to celebrate Independence Day!
