Studio Sketches - Warhol Technique

Happy Saturday, everyone!  It is HOT here in Oklahoma today!!  I'm deep in preparations for the Stampin' Up! Convention next week, working on swaps, last minute errands, etc.!  I really look forward to convention; it's a wonderful time of inspiration, information and revelation, plus I get to spend time with my demo girlfriends from all over!

This card is made with the new set Studio Sketches found in the new 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog which could be pre-ordered by demonstrators (one of the nice perks of being a demo!).  The technique is called Warhol after the artist Andy Warhol who sometimes repeated the same design in different colors for impact.

I used a number of the new Stampin' Up! colors on this card:  Concord Crush (deep purple), Peach Parfait, Marine Mist and Pear Pizzazz, along with the returning River Rock and Very Vanilla.  The River Rock background layer was run through the Big Shot with the "Friend" Texturz Plate then the edges had the River Rock ink pad brushed randomly over them to accent the texture.

Stamps:  Studio Sketches, Teeny Tiny Wishes (sentiment)
Inks:  Concord Crush, River Rock
Paper:  Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Marine Mist, Pear Pizzazz, River Rock and Very Vanilla
Accessories:  Silver mini brads, 1/8" Marina Mist Taffeta Ribbon
Tools:  Scallop Square Punch, 1-1/4" Square Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Big Shot, Friend Texturz Plate

I know you'll want to get the new color inks, cardstock and other products!  Did you know that you can save money by purchasing these new items in Product Color KITS?  Just click on "Color Kits (new)"  on the navigation bar at the top of this page to see the information!!  Check with your demonstrator for more information, or if you don't have a demonstrator, I'd be glad to help you.  Just email me at funstampin @ cox. net  (remove the spaces).

Thanks for dropping by!  Hope you have your new catalog so you can see all the fun and lovely new products in it!

Till tomorrow...

Margaret
