My Friend -- again!

Hello!  I'm back from my travels to NYC, Albany, Vermont and Buffalo!  A good trip but it's always wonderful to return home!  Besides, I was having stamp withdrawals, lol!!

One of the first new stamp sets I bought from the 2011-2012 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog was the "My Friend" set!  It is a part of the "Pocketful of Posies" Product Suite found on pg. 138-139 and includes the Designer Paper of the same name.  I love how these Product Suites display products that coordinate and/or compliment each other; it makes for an easy time selecting colors, accessories, ribbons and even digital downloads for digital card and scrapbooking designs!
Today's card uses three of this year's new In Colors:  Lucky Limeade (card base), Island Indigo (underneath layer) and Pool Party (front).  Don't they go well together?!   I inked the leaves stamp with Lucky Limeade and then Island Indigo using sponges and daubers and stamped it.  Then the "raindrops" stamp was inked with Island Indigo and stamped several times across the top of the card front.
I stamped the large and decorate "hello" stamp with my Not Quite Navy Craft Spot (a 1" square Craft ink pad with cover) then using Clear Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool embossed it.  I love how it really gives visual and tactile interest to the card!
The final steps were to add Crystal Effects to the raindrops and then a touch of Dazzling Details to each also.  This gives a little more depth and some glitz to the card.  I also added a touch of the Dazzling Details to the ends of the swirls on the "hello" greeting.  It adds a lovely little glitter that catches the light.

This card is beautiful, Margaret! I copied it and printed it out. I just ordered that set due to all the beautiful cards I've seen made with it. When my set arrives I am going to CASE this one.
