Bordering on Romance III

Hello again!  Today's card uses the third (and last) of the Bordering on Romance images that I stamped and watercolored several days ago.  (hope you're not tired of them!)  This card is different in that I didn't use any Designer Series Paper (:O) !!  Instead I turned to my Big Shot and a couple of wonderful embossing folders to achieve a totally different look.

I have used the delicious Confetti Cream cardstock on all three of these cards; on this card I paired it with a layer of Pool Party between the embossed layer and the base card.

I used the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder for the top card layer and the rectangle frame from the  Designer Frames (set of 2) to emboss the stamped flowers.  Because the flower image extends beyond the borders of the frame, I tore it out leaving a margin of cardstock around it.  I like this look and it goes well with the character of the cardstock.  A tiny Pool Party butterfly cut and embossed (at the same time!) with the Beautiful Wings Sizzlet accents the flowers.

A length of Victorian crochet ribbon is under the flower image and a brad from the Everyday Enchantment pack (free for a $50. order during Sale-a-Bration) adds an accent. You can see the inside edge of the card where I added a piece of Pool Party cardstock that was left from cutting the scallop Edgelit for another card.  The row of small flowers from the Bordering on Romance set was stamp in the same Peach Parfait that was used to color the flowers on the front.  The entire card front was treated to a shower with the Vanilla Smooch Spritz to add a soft shimmer.

Product info:   I hadn't used the Confetti Cream cardstock for quite awhile and I'd forgotten how much I like it!  It is a soft creamy color and has small darker flecks in it for a wonderful natural look.  It really works well for masculine cards too!

Remember that Sale-A-Bration is the one time of the year when you can choose a free stamp set or other product from the Sale-A-Bration brochure with every $50. of merchandise ordered!!  It ends on March 31, so don't delay in making your order!  If you don't have a demonstrator, I would be thrilled for you to order from me or through my secure online Stampin' Up! website HERE!   Please contact me with any questions!

You can find links to the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog, Occasions 2012 Mini Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration brochure on the upper right-hand side of this web page.

Thank you for visiting today!  Next time you come by, I promise it will be something different, lol!

Happy Monday!
