A Million and One Thanks!

Today we have a super and simple sketch from Create with Connie and Mary!  I love that it's adaptable to so many ideas and quick to make! I'm thinking (praying and hoping) for Spring to come soon!

I used the beautiful script from the A Million and One stamp set on the open space of the sketch.  I stamped it with VersaMark and heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder onto the grid-like paper from the Retro Fresh DSP.   Next I layered this onto Strawberry Slush cardstock then onto a Whisper White card base.

I diecut four of the medium daisy-like flowers from Whisper White using the Blossom Party Die, shaped the petals with a bone folder, attached them in pairs and adhered them to the Strawberry Slush banner.  Lastly I centered each flower with small clay flowers that I colored with my AquaPainter and Daffodil Delight ink.  Did you notice the difference in these two pictures?  The first card doesn't have the Pearls I has planned to put on it.  After I posted the picture for the challenge, I realized that so I added them and took this picture!  So you get two versions today. : )

Stamps:  A Million and One
Ink:  VersaMark
Paper:  InColor 2013-15 Designer Paper Stack (Strawberry Slush); Retro Fresh Designer Paper.  Strawberry Slush, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White cardstocks.
Tools:  Big Shot, Blossom Party die, Little Leaves Sizzlet, Bone Folder and Heat Tool
Accessories:  White Embossing Powder,   Simply Pressed Clay and Flower Molds, Pearls.

Here is sketch CCMC293 from Create with Connie and Mary this week:

Beautiful. Love the colors and the pretty flowers. The sentiment really pops embossed in white on the dark paper. I like how you added the pearls also.

What a difference the pearls make. So often it is the little things that make a card pop! I also love the pop of color the Strawberry Slush makes. It sets the daisies off nicely.

Margaret, your card is wonderful! I love the creative flowers - daisies are one of my favorites! And I love the white embossing on the designer paper. Can't wait till my daisies are blooming again.

Absolutely gorgeous!! The flowers are fantastic, the yellow center makes them so real! And the addition of pearls on this card is like the cherry on top!
