Curry, Tangerine and Black

Today is Thursday and those colors in the title are the ones we're using for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge this week!  You might expect a Halloween card since those colors are our focus this week, but I chose to go a different way with my card and make some fall flowers!

I love the colors of fall mums, don't you?  Especially the yellow because they are so bright and colorful!  I have two pots of yellow mums on my front porch!  I used my Too Kind set (for the first time!), pulled out some Watercolor Paper and got busy.  First I spritzed the paper lightly then the stamp inked with Basic Black for the stems.  Next the Crushed Curry for the first step of the two-step flowers then repeated it for the second of the two-step process using Tangerine Tango ink.

The flowers were diecut with a Circles Framelit then layered on a Window Frame Framelit of Crushed Curry.  Celebrate was stamped in Tangerine Tango, diecut then adhered with Dimensionals.  A Gold Button tied with Gold Baker's Twine anchors the sentiment.

A few scattered Rhinestones colored with Blendabilities add some sparkle and light to the card.

Stamps:  Too Kind, Endless Birthday Wishes
Ink:  Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  Back to Black DSP; Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Accessories:  Rhinestones colored with Blendabilities, Gold Baker's Twine, Gold Button, Bitty Banners Framelit

Again, here's the color challenge from Connie and Mary this week:

Be sure you to go to the Create with Connie and Mary website and see what the other members of the CCMC Challenge Team did with these colors!  So cute and I'm sure you will find some inspiration there!  Then make your own card and upload it to the CCMC website so we can be inspired by you!!

Thanks for joining us today!  Happy Stamping!

I have yellow mums out front of my house too! Your stamped flowers are beautiful and very reflective of the real thing. I love how you softened them with a little spritz of water. Gorgeous card, Margaret.

I was hoping someone would use the combo for something other than Halloween. Your card is so pretty! Love the "mums".
