Silhouette Challenge Card

I've mentioned before about the challenges we have on one of my online groups. Well, I recently received this beautiful card from Janet Hindman for the Silhouette Challenge which was to use a silhouette stamp set from the Silhouette Style Watch in the Stampin' Up! catalog.

Janet used Upsy Daisy, which is hugely popular, probably because #1, it's daisies, #2, it's so versatile and can be used with SO many techniques to get completely different looks, and #3, it's on sale but only until Sept. 30! If you haven't purchased yours yet, don't delay any longer or you'll miss out on 20% off this terrific set!

Janet used a crisp color scheme of Bravo Burgundy and Whisper White. The unique look of this card is achieved by stamping the daisies image with white Staz-On ink on a sheet of clear acetate (such as a clear transparency) and layering this over colored paper, in this case the plaid from Parisian Summer DSP. I really like how she used the large script word at the top and the daisies at the bottom. It's all set off with a tie of the 1/4" Bravo Burgundy grosgrain ribbon.

Stamps: Upsy Daisy, Wonderful Words
Ink: Staz-On White, Bravo Burgundy Classic ink
Paper: Parisian Summer DSP; Bravo Burgundy and Whisper White cardstock
Accessories: Burgundy 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, clear acetate sheet

Thanks, Janet, for such a lovely card and technique!

Have fun stampin' today! Thanks for dropping by!
Margaret
