Simple Seasonal Thanks & Sweet Treat Cups

Have you seen the new Simple Seasonal Thanks stamp (#111548) on pg. 28 of the new Holiday Mini Catalog? It's a cute single large snowman stamp with words inside it's outline. It's used for this card I'm posting today with a real twist that makes it useful for lots more applications!

Last week I had the opportunity to meet with my Stamp Therapy demo friends and Gayle Enouen brought this as a Make 'n Take for each of to do. Isn't it adorable!

When mounting her stamp, Gayle used an Exacto knife to cut just inside the outline of the snowman body. She set that part aside and mounted just the snowman portion; she can insert the word portion of the rubberstamp when she wants to use that too. Verrry clever girl, that Gayle!!

The snowman is stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White cardstock and shaded with a Bashful Blue Stampin' Write Marker. The hat and scarf were colored in with a Real Red marker and the "Let it Snow" from the Punch Pals set was stamped in black on the snowman. A circle was punched in the center of the lower portion of the snowman with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and also in a 2 3/4" square piece of white cardstock. The Sweet Treat cup holds Chunky Glitter and coarse kosher salt (the salt looks very much like snow and the glitter really gives a great sparkle to it.) Colorful candy could also be used in the cup instead of the "snow".

The card base of Real Red cardstock layered with the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper makes a great background for this adorable snowman!

All products except the salt : ) are by (c)Stampin' Up!

Thanks for visiting today! Come back soon!

I found your blog because you were referenced on Patty Bennet's - Patty's stamping spot blog. she showed a tutorial of a card that you had given her in a swap. She didn't link to your blog, but I decided to do a blog search and I am not disappointed in my effort. You are a very "out of the box" SU stamper. Very cool, creative projects - refreshing. Thanks for sharing.
