Greenhouse Gala DSP & Word Play!

I love this beautiful Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper!!  The colors are beautiful and you can use it with so many different cardstocks and styles!  I received more swaps at the SU Convention last week using this paper than any other, partly because it is so eye-catching and versatile!

For this card I used a strip of the yummy Chocolate Chip background print (there are two different ones in the package) overlaying a Real Red piece that has the bottom treated with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch.

The flower was made by using the Five Petal Flower Punch to punch out two Daffodil Delight flowers; misted the flowers on both sides, scrunched each up into a ball then gently opened them up again.  Shape with fingers, perhaps pinching the petals to give them the desired shape.  Lay aside to dry.  When somewhat dry, layer the flowers with a Mini Glue Dot then adhere the center (for the center I punched out 1/2" circles of Marina Mist cardstock which had been embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

Stamp the stylized artichoke with VersaMark ink onto the Crumb Cake layer then adhere it to the Chocolate Chip card.  Adhere the DSP/Real Red strip then with a Mini Glue Dot, attach the flower.

Lastly, I stamped the greeting.  I used this "Laughter" sentiment from the fabulous new Word Play, a set of twelve good-sized greetings!  By adding an appropriate verse inside, this card could be used for get well, thinking of you, humor, or many other  occasions.

Thanks for dropping by!  Have a stampin' good weekend!!
