Newsprint and Butterfly!!

This is a card I made for an organized swap I was at the Stampin' Up! Convention last week and it is just perfect for the Blogger's Challenge this week of Black, White and a Color!  (good timing for me!)  That vintage Newsprint Designer Paper immediately caught my eye and I pre-ordered it right away!  I love it with the So Saffron!

Two strips of different papers are layered over the So Saffron background that was dry embossed with the Big Shot and Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is from the Perfects Punches set, stamped in Black onto Very Vanilla cardstock and punched out with the coordinating Wide Oval Punch!  So easy and looks so great!

The butterfly stamp with alphabet letters covering it is from the Punch Potpourri set (level 1 hostess set for a $150. order).  I stamped it in Basic Black onto So Saffron and punched it out with the versatile Butterfly Punch.  Three tiny pearls from the new stick-on Jewels Basic Pearls embellishments were added to the center of the butterfly and also one larger pearl to the sentiment layer.  Gotta' love those stick-on jewels!  You need those!  lol!

TIP:  To easily transfer these jewels, both the rhinestones and pearls, that already have the stick-on adhesive applied, just take either a paper piercer, the tips of your fine paper snips or the tip of your Exacto knife blade and gently lift them off the resist paper they come on and place them onto your project.  Very easy and definitely easier than fingernails to which these little jewels will stick!!

Stamps:  Perfect Punches #120516, Punch Potpourri (hostess #118394)
Ink:  Basic Black
Paper:  Newsprint Designer Paper #117166; Basic Black, Very Vanilla, So Saffron cardstock
Accessories:  Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder #120175, Jewels Basic Pearl #119247, Butterfly Extra Large punch #119848 , Wide Oval Punch #119859

The newsprint DSP with the black and white is great. I love the saffron with the B&W - I chose this color combination for my bloggers challenge creation also. So fun!
