Flight of the Butterfly

This is number five in my series of six simple and quick greeting cards for my recent class of beginning stampers.  I used Flight of the Butterfly set which has been around for a couple of years but is still fun and fresh!  Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper and Ribbon that were free bonus products for Sale-A-Bration 2011 were used for this card (it was still during SAB last week when we did this card).
Theree are several butterfly images in this set which coordinate to the Butterfly XL Punch; this makes it quick and easy to get those images cut out!  We stamped the flower butterfly shape onto the Ice Cream Parlor DSP then punched it with the Butterfly Punch.. so easy.

The trailing verse was stamped on a Pear Pizzazz layer then the butterfly attached at the center with the Two-Way Glue Pen.  This allows the wings to be free to be shaped.  A layer of Melon Mambo underneath and two corners wrapped with the Ice Cream Parlor Grosgrain Ribbon finishes this top portion.   This was then adhered to the base card of Baja Breeze which has a layer of the DSP adhered to it.  A "Thank You" stamped inside and viola!, done!
I had stamped the dotted outline butterfly stamp at the top of the verse and the punched-out butterfly was attached over that.

The ladies enjoyed making this card with it's bright and spring-y colors and were planning to whom they would send it!

Thanks for visiting today!  I wish you all the Best!  I welcome you to sign up to follow my blog at the top right of this page; you will be notified whenever I make a new post.

Have a great Wednesday (or whatever day you read this)!
