My Friend TSSC #191

I've been stamping this week;  I just couldn't upload my cards to my blog because my computer quit!!   Finally I have some new pictures to post after getting some photo software loaded on my husband's computer to edit my photos, etc., and after making my way through the trials of new software!

I'm using one of the new sets from the 2011-12 Idea Book and Catalog titled "My Friend".  It has some really pretty images and I just love the solid image "plants" stamp and the word stamps, particularly the "Hello" stamp that I used on my card I'm posting today!  I also used Technostamper's Monday Sketch Challenge #191 for the layout of my card; I really like this sketch!
Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper is the basis of my color scheme of Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, River Rock and a little Pear Pizzazz. The background of the DSP I used is a lighter tone of Tangerine Tango, which coordinates perfectly with the new 2011 In Color Calypso Coral!
I sponged the plant silhouette stamp with Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze and then lightly on the lower part with Not Quite Navy to give some variation in color and tie in with the DSP colors.  I then stamped that gorgeous Hello stamp with Not Quite Navy CRAFT Ink and embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder.  A Calypso Coral Designer Printed Brad was added in the swirl of the greeting and a little Calypso Coral was sponged very lightly at the base of the leaves.
The background Scallop Circle die cut (Scallop Circles #2 Die) is Not Quite Navy and the Circle (3" Circle Die) is River Rock cardstock which has been textured with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.  The DSP banner is one of the Paisley Prints DSP prints layered on Almost Artichoke cardstock.

TIP:  Use a Square Punch to cut the "fishtail" ends of banners for precise results!

The more I see that stamp set and the Hello, the more I like it and I really like the way you colored the stamp, Margaret!
