Bloom & Lace

Today's card showcases several new products from the new 2014-15 Stampin' Up! annual catalog:  Blended Bloom stamp, Blendabilities, the Lovely Lace Embossing Folder and the 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Hello Honey, a new In Color this year.

I just love this Blended Bloom colored with the Blendabilities alcohol markers!  On this flower I used both the Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight sets of Blendabilities (Blendies for short) plus a touch of Olive Green Blendies in the center. The leaves were diecut with a leaf from the Flower Fair Framelits set.

A layer of vellum cardstock embossed with the Lovely Lace embossing folder overlays the Rich Razzleberry card;  I just love the effect of dry embossing vellum because it turns opaque in the places where it is stretched!  A length of Hello Honey ribbon wraps around the card 'neath the flower and is tied with just a bit of white Baker's Twine.

The birthday greeting was punched out with the Artisan Label Punch then layered on Old Olive.  A few scattered Pearls and a light dusting of Dazzling Diamonds glitter in the flower center are the finishing touches.  It's ready to send to a special friend!
