Shaker Card Week: Morning Cup TSSC 198

Yes, I've been missing for a couple of BUSY weeks but I'm so glad to be back....!!  This week I am going to feature a new-in-the-Holiday-Mini-Catalog-product:  SHAKER FRAMES!!  If you've ever made (or tried to make) a shaker card in the past and have found it tedious to piece together a frame of adhesive foam or worse yet, found that it leaked the filler after completion, you'll be so happy to know "Problem Solved"!  Stampin' Up! has come out with pre-cut, self-adhesive foam rings to enable you to make shaker cards quickly and easily!  Yes, Virginia, the fun has returned to shakers!! : )

I'll be posting a shaker card each day this week so remember come back every day!  The first one is using Mary Jo's sketch over at Technostamper's Weekly Sketch Challenge, #198.  Great sketch!  I'm happy to pull out my Top Note die again which I haven't used for awhile although it's a huge fave and a workhorse die for the Big Shot!
I used the fun little Morning Cup set which was "like at first sight" in the catalog...so glad to finally have it.  I thought it would work with this sketch challenge and highlight the coffee (or tea) mug in the shaker. Colors used are Early Espresso (fitting, right?), Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Real Red.
Can you guess what the "filling" is in the shaker frame?  I had a brainstorm to use ground coffee!  Also, I remembered SU has Chocolate Chip Glitter in the Fine Supernova Glitter assortment so had to add some to get a little sparkle in the shaker!  : )  You can barely see it in the close-up above but IRL it shows up.  Another plus is that the aroma of the fresh coffee is beginning to permeate the card!  lol!
I like the lines of this clean and simple sketch and thought this set worked well with it.  Accessories are the 1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Shaker Frames, Window Sheet, Blender Pens for coloring, XLarge Scallop Punch, Big Shot, Top Note Die and the Polka Dot Embossing Folder (used on the Red Scallop).

Here is Mary Jo's Sketch for this past week, TSSC198:

Shaker Frames, Holiday Mini Catalog, p. 38, Pkg. of 36, $4.95 There are clear and simple directions on the back of the package which are very easy to follow.

If you don't already have a demonstrator from whom you order, I'd be happy for you to purchase any of these products or others from my official secure Stampin' Up! website and store HERE.  Thank you so much!

Come back tomorrow for another Shaker Card!  Hope to see you then!
