Birthday Whimsey Sale-A-Bration!

Birthday cards are the greeting cards sent most often in America, say the surveys. Seems we can never have enough of them! The above card is one you can make pretty quick and easy, and the stamp set Birthday Whimsey is FREE with a $50. merchandise order during Sale-A-Bration! I love the delightfully whimsical style (hence the name, huh?) and the fact that this set can be used for males and females of all ages! We made one similiar to this at a Stampin' Up! party the other night; I added the doodling, button and some Dazzling Diamonds for bling to this one! The Happy Birthday greeting on the circle is from another Sale-A-Bration set, So Many Scallops, set of 4 various occasion scallop stamps that all fit our Scallop circle punch and can be stamped and punched out in a flash, ready to apply to your card!

I participated in a card challenge with an online group and the assignment was to make a card for our partner using a color scheme primarily of green.

I chose Wild Wasabi cardstock and one of the green prints from the new Afternoon Tea Designer Paper and layered them on Perfect Plum cardstock. I used a Cuttlebug to emboss the Wasabi cardstock and added White Craft Ink to it, then embossed. The sentiment from A Beautiful Life set was stamped and punched with the Designer Label Punch, placed into a coordinating frame from the new silver Hodgepodge Hardware and applied to the card using the stitched Wasabi grosgrain ribbon. Prima flowers centered with small pearls provide the accents. I mailed it to my partner today; I hope she likes it!

Happy Saturday! Have an enjoyable weekend!
Margaret
